41. It Was Just A Mistake

Isla’s POV

I stirred in my sleep, flickering my eyes open. My hands slowly ran down my body as yesterday’s event replayed in my head like a broken record.

I couldn’t believe it. I felt like yesterday was nothing but a fragment of my imagination. It was all too good to be true.

As I shifted my hands down my body, the slight pain I felt made me realise this wasn’t a dream.

“It’s a sign you had a good night!” Nima had said.

“It’s more than a good night. It was the best night.” I responded.

“Someone is floating on cloud nine!” Nima said.

“You’re also feeling the same way,” I said casually.

“You will be surprised when I say I am happier than you are. The bond has been sealed. Kai and I are going to be inseparable.”

I smiled. Nima was happy, and so was I. Everything felt perfect. I was about to stand on my feet. When I heard the door open, it was Dario.
