The Ruined Night for King Dragon

It was a few moments after the announcement of his engagement was cancelled due to prior unexpected events.

King Dragon sniffed, sneezing many times after a cat had walked passing him. His steps were rushing to reach the spot where he would be staying during his visit in the Sapphire Island Kingdom.

‘Damn, why my acute allergies come back again? Was it because of Celestine’s condition? What illness does she carry? Was it infectious? How come did she change to become blue like that? So scary…yes, as a lady, she seemed so scary in that look.’

King Dragon wiped his nose that it started running.

He turned around and stopped walking.

He saw another black and white small animal was sneaking from the plants growing inside the palace’s garden.

He tried to stay away but it seemed the cat was running to escape from that other cat.

He nearly kicked the other cat away, separated them from getting to fight.

“No, don’t do it, my king. We are going to have a disaster. It’ll ruin our day.” A man yanked his wrist, stopping him to do that.

“What kind of disaster? They’re just cats!” King Dragon looked so irritated. He was bumped becoming so emotional loose control.

He had to release his disappointed feeling and looked for something as the place for him to take an act of revenge.

“My night has been ruined, absolutely, the lady I am going to engage with, changing herself into some kind of blue monster.” He grumped, kicking the other cat back to the hedge plants as it sneaked out.

Earl Ambrose sighed.

King Dragon squinted his eyes and was sniffing. “What smell of this? It’s so bad odor, so disgusting.” He almost yelled at everyone around and turned his head to the old man with a poker face, the man was his right hand man.

Earl Ambrose rose one of his eyebrows. “It was a skunk. I tried to tell you about it.”

King Dragon widened his eyes. “Did it just spray me?”

Earl Ambrose nodded in a slow move and his face stayed poker, unchanging expression showed from his face and it really made King Dragon boiling his mind with madness.

“You…!!!” King Dragon gritted his teeth, clenching his fingers as he stared at the poker face of the man standing next to him. “Don’t just stand there, Ambrose. Please, do something. I can’t stand with this odor.” He turned down his sight and found the lower part of his trousers had been sprinkled with the skunk’s spray.

Earl Ambrose sighed. “I do, Your Majesty. I’ll call Sir Frans to come to your room.”

He bent his head down as a sign to ask for leaving.

King Dragon puffed, wiping his mouth and staring at the back of Earl Ambrose with some men leaving him to fetch the alchemist of the kingdom.

“Come in!” King Dragon hurriedly fixed his pajamas. The night would be emptied from some laughter and games on the bed with some of his mistresses. He had taken a bath, soaked him with a bathtub fulfill with rose petals, lavender oils to eliminate the bad odor of the skunk on his lower leg but it failed.

Madam Victoria, his first mistress, had refused to sleep with him, the other four mistresses shuddered and left him even before he asked one of them to accompany him resting and of course…a little bit shafts.

Earl Ambrose and another mature man with his eccentric look came into his room after knocking at the door.

“My King.” The other man bent his head down followed with Earl Ambrose. They looked each other, curling their noses as the bad odor thrust their nostrils.

“I am so sorry, it’s really a bad day.” King Dragon came towards them but the two men instantly bounced their steps back with their shuddered faces.

Sir Frans cleared his throat and pulled something from his pocket.

“Please Your Majesty, spray your leg with this.” He handed the bottle to the king Dragon.

King Dragon smirked. “Okay.” He grabbed it from Sir Frans’s hand and sprayed it on his lower leg.

In a few moments, the bad odor reduced to air the room.

“It’s quite better now.” King Dragon sighed.

Sir Frans nodded. “Ay, my king.”

He beamed then and exhaled in a relieved way.

They were taking a seat on some cushions inside King Dragon’s room.

King Dragon told everything what happened between him and Celestine.

“I kissed her before she changed her skin tone becoming freaky blue. I never experienced kissing with such kind of a lady. Then, I came to get my allergies back. What happened to me?”

He explained after Sir Frans had examined his pulse on his hand.

Sir Frans sipped the wine King Dragon poured for him, listening to King Dragon’s stories and keeping his eyes blinking habit, sometimes it really annoyed for everyone who saw it.

“Your tension a bit higher, my king. But, everything is okay with you. Your allergies were triggered by your anxiety. Just try to calm down.” He put his glass on the table between the three of them.

King Dragon sighed. “So, I wasn’t infected by her?”

Earl Ambrose took a glance at Sir Frans. “Everything is okay? But the skunk’s spray.” He uttered.

Sir Frans inhaled and blinked his eyes again. “No. She’s not infected by any diseases. What I heard and listened I believed her changing skin tone was caused by a kind of drink. I ever watched that phenomenon.”

“A kind of drink?” King Dragon squinted his eyes.

Sir Frans nodded. “Le Bouche du Mer.”

King Dragon gulped after hearing that. He sneered and bumped his back to lean on the seat.

The moment of silence was tore by the squeaking sounds appeared from Sir Frans.

Sir Frans smirked and pulled the tool in the shape of a duck from his pocket. The tool stopped squeaking after he pulled its gear part twice.

“Allow me to dismiss, my king. I need to cure another patient, Your Majesty.” He rose from his seat and bent his head down asking permission to leave the room.

King Dragon nodded. He also permitted Earl Ambrose to dismiss.
