Running Away

“Don’t you dare to argue what I am telling you, Celestine…” King Dragon looked at the young woman who was standing in front of him. He could see the flames burning inside her eyes…flames of anger.

“You are not my king. I don’t have to submit to any words coming out from your royal mouth…” Celestine hissed. Her lips were tightly clenched. Her stare at him was so intense without any blinks a second as she gritted her teeth.

Their eyes were locked and both of them were standing with each of hands clenched.

King Dragon smirked bit that it appeared to sneer in cynical expression.

“You want to see my power right to your eyes, huh…?” He tried to grab the wrist of the woman with appearance like a noble woman.

“Don’t you dare touching me, a princess of this kingdom!”

Celestine snapped with flying off the handle to the hand of King Dragon from touching her.

King Dragon laughed. “Don’t touch me???” He paused, created a haze of silence within them. His gaze was eating piece by piece of the woman from top to down.

“I’ve kissed your lips, my dear!” He continued, his eyes kept staring at Celestine, blended from arrogance, admiration and a desire to defeat coming from those dark eyes.

Celestine puffed harshly after hearing his words. She threw her face, turned down her sight on the ground.

Gently, she moved her hand. Wiping her lips with backhand…she remembered the man who seemed much older than her kissed her so passionately.

A few days ago…when her uncle, King Othello invited him to have a dinner in the kingdom.

After the dinner was over…King Dragon pushed her to the wall in their walking journey to the castle…within the darkness his lips squeezed hers…something that she never experienced before…even with Jacques, her boyfriend, a young nobleman from another kingdom.

It was thrilling moment…monstrous but so pounding single beat of her heart. Her breath was coming out struggling from her mouth after what he had done to her lips.

King Othello was in charge due to King Victor, her father, absent during his illness.

She felt she was trapped by her uncle. Attending the dinner with one main purpose, introducing her, as the only daughter of the king to a man who much older than her to become her only suitor.

King Dragon asked her to dance although she refused him at that night. Before the dinner time started…

She nodded her head, was pushed to agree taking the man’s hand, let him put his hand on her waist under the sight of King Othello and his wife.

She should obey her step uncle and his wife. She felt their eyes were moving together with the sways of dance she made with King Dragon.

Then, in the middle of dinner, they allowed King Dragon having a talk only with her.

King Dragon poured her a glass of wine that she was sure it was poisoned. He said it was to celebrate for whatever she didn’t care to find it out further those affairs.

Even, her uncle pretended not to see it by leaving her alone with King Dragon while they were moving into another room to talk about some affairs from each kingdom.

She was dizzy after drinking the wine King Dragon gave to her and her uncle asked King Dragon to take her into the castle. With one purpose again…to give that arrogant man kissing her while she almost fainted.

“I will come to you tonight, I have a musical parade, a tribute your uncle made to celebrate my music…” King Dragon said with his emphasized tone.

“You should be honored if I ask you and take you with me there!” He continued speaking with his cold voice, turned around and walked away from the garden where they were arranged to meet and talk again.

Celestine harshly exhaled. Pulling up her dress, walking in a rush into the castle.

“I don’t want to attend that event!” Celestine threw a bouquet of roses with a gift from King Dragon to her bed.

Her eyes stared at Ersa, her loyal attendant.

“But King Othello ordered you, Princess Celestine!”

Celestine bumped herself on the bed after throwing all the gifts to the floor.

“He is not my king…I need to see my father!” She mumbled.

Ersa sighed. “You know what King Othello ordered to us. King Victor can’t be disturbed to unnoticeable period of time.”

Celestine rose and walked to the door.

“Where are you going, Princess Celestine?” Ersa stopped picking up the gifts scattered on the floor.

Celestine sighed and turned around. “You know where you should find me, Ersa!” she closed the door behind and pulled up her dress, running along the corridor. She stepped down the stairs in quick pace, making some guards didn’t have any chances to stop her.

She went to the stable. As she whistled, a black horse was running and coming out from the stable, asking her to ride him.

Celestine smiled, sat on the horse saddle as she tapped on the horse neck.

“Storm let’s go!” she asked him to run as fast as the storm did.

Abruptly as he running, leaving the dusts were blown and the fallen leaves were whirled.

One thing came across Celestine’s mind, she should run away as fast as she could from the castle before King Dragon sent some men.

They were winding on like the storm.
