Spilling the Tea

Madam Victoria entered the room.

Wrapping in her crème tone long dress, that mature woman, younger couple of years than King Dragon. Her feathered hat was beaming as she moved her head.

“My Lord.” She half bowed in the man’s sight.

King Dragon stopped writing something and looked at her.

“Yes, Victoria. What do you want to talk my dear?” He continued writing again, waiting for her to speak up.

“Is it about your trading ship?” He kept writing and ignored the woman walking to approach his working desk.

“Is it the only matter you concern of? Is it all about my mercantile wealth to support you, my King? All kind of matters to you? All above others than my deepest considerate concern of other rest matters instead of yours?”

She waved her fan and swayed in more elegant manner.

King Dragon sighed, stopped writing and leaned his back towards the seat.

“Why you said something irritated like that? Among other mistresses, you are the only one I allow to appear in the front of the public with me.”

The woman smirked and poured the wine for them each. “Because I am the richest among the others? And I support the biggest portion of my wealth for every campaign you make, my King.”

She walked to the desk again where King Dragon was resting his back on the seat back. Putting one glass in his sight, she shook her own glass with a deep stare at the man in his sixties but he grew older like wine in her eyes.

“The tea has been spilled, Your Majesty.” She looked at him but the way she put intense stare telling the man she was protesting. “Among this kingdom, among us…”

He sighed.

‘Was it about the rebellious princess she wanted to know more? Uhhh…I should create a scenario again. Why at the time I have to think how to tackle the mockery on this particular case from my enemies?’

“May I know what kind of tea is that?” he sipped the wine and held it back to see the woman sitting on the desk by his side.

Victoria sighed and looked away. “The crown to be in this kingdom.” She paused. “In many years ahead of her future…” she put a sharp glint at him.

Her answer made him blowing out a long deep breath.

In the castle, Celestine could see the wind blowing out some old leaves, scattered on the ground, the castle was quite out of maintenance.

The castle manager so far had fired more than fifties employees because of their financial crisis. The number of people working inside the castle were limited though they still welcomed number of families some sufficient accommodating things who just lost of their wealth because of King Othello’s new policies.

“I am pissed off.” Celestine rose from her seat. “He’s really freaky old womanizer.” She crossed her arms, looking out the window of the castle.

Her hand was holding a letter of command she got from Oliver. She read it many times, but it really burned her inside with flames of anger.

“You mean King Dragon?”

Ersa stopped putting all the cutting flower stems into a crystalized vase.

“He has already engaged with five mistresses.” She puffed, turned around to see Ersa. “My heart belongs to someone else.”

Ersa smiled. “Monsieur Jacques Amourex?” she glinted and continued to do her work.

Celestine giggled, leaned her head on the window sill. “His gingered hair, his beautiful cute smile…ahhh.”

Their conversation inside the lounge room was stopped at the time someone knocking at the door.

“Come in.” Celestine turned around as Ersa walked to the door, opened it and welcomed who the guest was.

There was two men in the kingdom uniform standing in the front of the door.

They knelt down at the time they saw Celestine appear behind Ersa.

“Rise up.” Celestine gave them a command. “What bring you in front of me, soldiers?”

A soldier with sturdier body rose and spoke. “We are sent to get you a message from Prince Oliver.”

Celestine squinted her eyes. “What message?”

She saw the man gulping. “You are not allowed to stay inside the castle. For the sakes and the behalf of people in the kingdom. You’re not allowed to spread the disease you’re carrying, my Princess.”

Hearing the words coming out from the soldier’s mouth, Celestine grabbed her sword behind the door.

She pointed at the soldier’s neck. “I am the princess of this kingdom. Prince Oliver should know he doesn’t have the right to command me. Tell him that Princess Celestine is going to see him for negotiation. Time will be mentioned.”

The soldier shut his eyes with his shuddered face of fear and anxiety blended into one.

Celestine put her sword down and sheathed it.

“Dismiss.” She stared at both of the soldiers. They nodded and turned around in a quick move. They left the spot in their hurried steps.

Celestine sucked a deep breath to calm down herself.

Ersa looked at her. “We should do something, Princess Celestine.”

The place where King Dragon and his mistress were having a chit chat…

“You bet on her for more wealth, my King?” Victoria widened her big blue eyes , stupidly absorbed every word King Dragon telling her.

King Dragon smirked looking, he rose the glass. He shrugged.

“I am not having much time to tame her…she’s so greeny in performing some shafts. Though she’s a princess.” He laughed.

“Are you sure you will win from other kings to get her engage with you? Becoming one of your pleasure women, the mistresses? She’s going to be crowned someday. Only if you don’t take over this kingdom, Your Majesty…”

King Dragon again smirked hearing the question from his eldest toughest mistress. He pulled in her body closer, to take a seat on his lap. He put his grip on her waist.

“Why you bothered to think that your king isn’t so expert in making any women’s heart he wants melted? He’s determined, smart, strategic and tricky.” He whispered in her ear and put his gentle kiss on the woman’s cheek.

She was soaked by the king’s gentleness and giggling as the hand of him started playing naughty on her.
