Selena's POV

Rufus's unexpected appearance at the hotel took me by surprise.

He lifted me into the car and allowed me to sit directly on his lap.

The car's heater was turned up high, so I didn't have to worry about getting any colder.

I let out a sigh of relief as I leaned against him, feeling weak.

I was clearly exhausted, but I didn't want to fall asleep. I breathed in the nice scent of Rufus's body, feeling incredibly comforted and almost wanting to savor it forever.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Rufus pick up a water bottle, unscrew the cap, and take a sip.

"Here, have some water." He handed me the bottle after taking a drink.

Without hesitation, I opened my mouth and took a few sips. My throat felt much better. Suddenly, I remembered, "You... you drank from it directly."

My face instantly turned red.

Rufus chuckled, "It's not like we haven't already kissed, why do you care about this?"
