It hurt because I didn’t know what to say to her or do for her to make her feel any better. She shivered as the effects of jumping into the water began to set in, and quietly, I draped my shawl over her shoulders. She raised her eyes to look at me but I pretended to be so lost in thoughts, she looked away.When we arrived at the guest room, I pushed the door open and stepped in first.
