Aurora’s POV

“Oh sorry” I apologized immediately.

“It’s fine,” Savannah says but her tone makes it seem like it’s anything but fine. She gives me a once-over and scrunches her nose.

“Yeah,” I say. This was awkward. I started to walk away when Savannah called me back.

“Aurora?” She looks like she’s debating whether or not to speak.

“Yeah?”

“I’m only saying this because you seem like a nice lady but whatever you think is going on between you and the Alpha, it’s not going to last.” Savannah finally said.

“I’m not sure what you mean…” I trailed off

“All I’m saying is that you seem like the kind of girl who is looking for forever, true love kind of stuff. But Klaus is just not the type of man to settle down” She takes my shoulders in her hands, rubbing them softly. “I don’t want you to get your hopes up because you’ve been in his bed and all.”

“Ohhh…” What exactly was I supposed to say to her advice?

“I’m sure you are a smart girl though,” Savannah said as she squeezed my shoulders gen

Klaus fumed as he tackled pending paperwork littered on his desk. He could hardly focus on the task at hand as his mind kept drifting back to Aurora and the argument they had. He had half a mind to walk back to her room and tell her that he would never let her leave him willingly. However, he could not go back on his word. He had told her that he would let her leave in the spur of the moment and had regretted it immediately. It would be a total disaster if she decided to take him up on his offer. The mate bond might not be fully developed between them, but he was sure he would not survive being separated from her for a long time. Curse his temper, he should have controlled himself better with her. How could he have told her to leave when there was the threat of her ex? There was no way he could let her leave. Not on her own anyway. He became aware of a female’s scent invading his surroundings just as a series of short knocks sounded on the door. His aunt, Danielle, waltzed in with

Aurora’s POVNever would I have imagined that one day I would ask the dreaded Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack to marry me. I could see that I had managed to shock him with my proposal. Hell, I was shocked I had mustered up enough courage to say it. How had I even gotten to this point when only a few hours ago, I had been clamoring to leave? Let me backtrack a bit. After Klaus had left, I thought hard about what I wanted. I had a child to factor into my decisions after all. I realized that even if I left, I would always be connected to Klaus because of my child. Then I thought about how I wanted to give my child the best upbringing possible. Sure, I would do a good job on my own but I didn’t want my child to grow up with only one parent like I had. My mom had been a great parent but there had been a void that could only be filled by a father. And my stepfather had been the furthest thing away from a father figure. Even though I ended up reuniting with my dad, I only had the luxury of l

Aurora’s POVI sat close to the window overlooking the orchard, and deep down, I couldn't help but wonder how I had gotten into all of these. How my once simple but sad life had evolved into this complicated shit… and now, I was pregnant and about to be married to the King Superior! The one person I never imagined to live the rest of my life with.I sipped the pina colada slowly, thinking, and was only snapped out of my thoughts when I heard the sudden knock on my door. I jumped.“Come in!” I screamed, not bothering to ask who it was. A few seconds later, a petite maid walked in. She had her head bowed and was looking everywhere but my face. I watched as she played with her fingers as if desperately trying to avoid my gaze.“What is it?” I snapped impatiently. The girl jumped at the tone of my voice. She shot a pitiable look my way before she responded; “there is a lady outside that wants to see you. She said she’s a friend.”At first, I was shocked at her words. I had no friends besid

Aurora’s POV:“Ma’am, it’s this way…” the petite nurse said to Emily with a soulful smile on her face.I saw Emily smile back, which was strange as she never did. I ignored her and the nurse as I staggered across the disinfectant-smelling corridor to room 307B, where my father was.As soon as I arrived there, I pushed the door open and gasped at the scene that befell me. It was my father alright but he looked extremely different. His face was pale and sunken and his eyeballs bulged from the thin layer which was his eyelids. His creamy complexion had also been replaced by an ashen-colored skin, one that looked as though it had seen death. Involuntarily, a tear slipped out of my eye.“What happened to you?” I sobbed, cradling his face in my hands. He felt cold to the touch and I even sobbed harder at the thought of him being almost dead.A few minutes later, Emily waltzed in with my mother right behind her. They looked like two contrasts as my mother was sobbing profusely while Emily ha

Aurora’s POV:“Baby, it’s okay… stop crying!” Klaus said for the umpteenth time today but I couldn’t bring myself to stop crying.Whenever I closed my eyes, I only saw one image, and that was of my father, cold and stiff in bed. I hugged Klaus tighter, sniffling as I stuttered;“I… I can’t!”And that was the truth, I truly could not. I couldn’t do or think about anything else besides him, and I even felt worse because I had tried to use my powers to make him better but nothing had happened.I narrated my ordeals to Klaus who in turn simply hugged me still. If anything, he looked like he felt worse on my behalf than I did. Suddenly, he pulled me at arm's length, his expression was troubled as he glared at me.“What did you just say?” He spat.I looked up at him in confusion. I had no idea what he was talking about. There was a mix of fear and confusion on his face. Without waiting for what I had to say, he slowly moved away from me.“What is it?”“What isn’t it?” He snarled back. “You j

Aurora’s POV:When Klaus came back to my room that evening, I was nothing but a crying mess. I couldn’t even see him clearly or form coherent sentences due to how messed up I was.My heart ached for my loss, and no matter how much I thought about it, I just couldn’t shake out the feeling of dread… emptiness, and loss. He’d gone too soon… too fast. Heck, I wasn’t even given the opportunity to say goodbye to him, and worst of all, I couldn’t help him.“What is it?” He said softly, holding me close. I was sprawled on the floor so he had to sit with me there whilst hugging me. “He’s… he’s dead!” I announced between hiccups. “I couldn’t save him, Klaus, I couldn’t!” I cried.I felt the urge to tug at my hair. I wanted to dip my fingers into my eyes and then plug out the orbs but I couldn’t. Whatever I did now would have repercussions on my unborn child sooner or later.Klaus stilled. I noticed how he fought the tears that threatened to spill out of his eyes. His hands instantly went cold,

Aurora’s POV:Hand in hand, I walked up to the guest room with my mother beside me. She was quiet the entire time, and as much I hated to say it, it hurt me. It hurt because I didn’t know what to say to her or do for her to make her feel any better. She shivered as the effects of jumping into the water began to set in, and quietly, I draped my shawl over her shoulders. She raised her eyes to look at me but I pretended to be so lost in thoughts, she looked away. When we arrived at the guest room, I pushed the door open and stepped in first. She tentatively followed my lead, gasping when she was met with the vastness of the space. I took my time opening all the curtains and even lit up the fireplace to ensure that she would feel the warmth.“Klaus said you can stay here for as long as you like,” I said softly. I was still very cautious around her as she was obviously in more pain than I was. “…there are a few things in the closet that you can use for now, I’ll get you other essentials

Aurora’s POV:Klaus went from worried to confused to aroused in less than three seconds. One second he was opening his mouth presumably to scold me about risking our baby’s health and the next, he was closing it and staring at me with dark eyes so black that I couldn’t make out his pupils. He reached out for me and I allowed him to ravage his fingers up the length of my aching body. There were tears in my eyes, and gently he wiped them off.“Are you sure you want this?” He murmured into my ear and I nodded, shivering momentarily when his warm breath tickled my neck.“Aurora, baby… don’t do this because you’re hurting. It won’t make you feel any better.” He tried to talk me out of it but I shook my head.Again, I planted my finger on his lips, and staring into his deep dark eyes, I muttered; “I want it,”He gulped. He wasted no time in grabbing my hips once he was with me on the bed. He made a sound deep in his throat that was a mix between a groan and a moan.“I love you,” he grunted

Unknown POV: (3 years later) Klaus and Aurora sat by the veranda, looking out at the field while young children played around, young children about their children’s age. Aurora was happy and her heart felt full… but somehow, somewhere deep inside her heart, she felt uneasy. She didn’t know what was wrong but she did know that she was uncomfortable. Her eyes wandered to where her children sat and seeing how they were still so engrossed with their toys, she smiled. “Maybe, I’m just so paranoid.” She mused, causing Klaus to turn to her. He asked her what she had said and after telling him about her thoughts, he let out a breath and muttered; “it’s been several years now, love. We’re fine now. Everyone is happy now… stop overthinking these things. The children, the pack is safe.” “But the children are too strong.” Aurora cried, “…it would take just one glance at them for an outsider to know that they’re different. They don’t even act like their mates!” “And how do you expect

Aurora’s POV:The glasses clinked as Klaus and I made a toast and while everyone sipped from our glasses, we didn’t. We only took the first sip after the toast and then poured most of the remaining contents of our drinks on the paper in the bin. It was our Prenuptial agreement. The stupid arrangement that Klaus had come up with when we first met. A smile tugged at my lips as I remembered those times and in awe of how much we’ve grown since then, I leaned into him for a hug.“Thank you,” I whispered, kissing his chest, uncaring if my red lipstick would stain his crisp white shirt. He didn’t seem to bother too as he also leaned closer, placed a kiss on my forehead, and whispered;“No, thank you, my love.”I blushed. It was the fiercest blush I have had in a while and everyone who noticed this began to laugh excitedly. At this moment, I looked around us, at my parents who were cheering and clapping at Bella while she made funny faces at David and Davina, at Jasmine who had tears stream

Aurora’s POV:I watched in curiosity as the flames lit up the evening sky, causing tons of smoke to fill the atmosphere in an almost suffocating manner. There were agonized screams coming from everywhere, but it was one from agony not from pain. Agony because a source of their livelihood was burning down, agony because a lot of money was being burnt to a crisp. Nobody was in pain, no. Klaus and I made sure no one would get hurt. While everyone had a piece of cloth or paper covering the lower parts of their face to block their nostrils from the angry fumes, I didn’t. I took it all in, giggling and happy.Klaus was standing beside me and he seemed just as pleased as I was. The only difference was that he wasn’t showing his emotions on his face. He still appeared stoic and nonchalant. One of Klaus’ soldiers held a limp Michael by his collar while he was made to watch his lifelong sweat go down the drain. He was quiet all through but his emotions were as bright as day. Tears streaked his

Aurora’s POV:My breath hitched in my throat as I watched Damon saunter into the room, brandishing a large gun on his shoulders. I saw more than a few Elders shrink away in fear and I almost barked out a laugh from how stupid they appeared doing that. However, I was quickly snapped to the present when I felt something cold against my skin and I frowned when I saw that it was the gun and that Damon was pressing it against my head.“And what is happening here?” He asked no one in particular, but his gaze was planted firmly on Klaus’ face.Without thinking, I pushed the gun away and got up, standing between Klaus and Damon. “What are you doing here?” I asked him instead, evading his question.I saw Damon’s eyes widen but I wasn’t sure if it was because he noticed that I wasn’t scared of him even with a gun or because of something else entirely. Choosing that opportunity, I stepped closer to him until we were almost standing chest to chest and whispered;“Leave… nothing here is any of you

The chatter in the room died down as soon he stepped in with his mate stalking behind him. Normally, anyone who saw them would think she was hiding behind him but that was unlike the case here. She was protecting him. She was his aide, his bodyguard, and his Luna.People knew them. Word had gotten out. She was the last of her kind. The only white wolf left in their entire world and people feared her for that. The elders who once wanted Klaus out of the throne because he wasn’t ‘fit’ now thought otherwise. With a Luna like her, you would always be fit.“King Klaus!” An old man with a boisterous voice called out. His voice rang around the room and when Aurora turned to regard him, he shrunk into his chair.Aurora always wanted to be respected, not feared. These days after a lot of people came to know what she was, she noticed that many now feared her. Those who respected her before feared and respected her now, and those who never respected her only feared her now.Right now, ignoring t

  • The Rejected Luna   Chapter One Hundred and Thirty.

Klaus’ POV: I watched her, my mate, with fascination as she wiped the sweat off her face with the back of her hand and stepped away from the now limp form of a beat-up Alpha; and I couldn’t help but feel more proud of her than I already was. I loved how she’d gotten every information she wanted out of Michael without laying a finger on him… but considering the amount of damage she’d done to him, I wasn’t sure I could still classify her methods of torture as not laying a finger on him. She smiled at me when she came up to me, a smile that was so bright no one could imagine what she had been doing for the past hour. She handed her phone to me and I smiled when I noticed that it was still recording, even until now. Quietly, I shut it off and pulled her into a hug. “Thank you…” I whispered but she shook her head immediately. “What—?” “No, thank you,” She whispered lovingly, “…for acknowledging that this is my fight and not trying to get into it. At first, I didn’t know what to

Aurora’s POV: I stood in a corner of the dark room with amusement gleaming in my eyes while Emily glared daggers at me. By the other end, just opposite Emily was Michael who was still fast asleep as a result of the effect of the drug I had knocked him out with. Klaus’ guards had chained him to the metal chair and left him to my mercy… or so I thought until I smelled him, Klaus. I didn’t even turn around to acknowledge him. I didn’t even flinch. “What’re you doing here?” I murmured under my breath, but loud enough that he could hear me. He threw a glance at me. There was a hint of mischief in his eyes when he simply said; “I am here to watch you work.” Deep down, even though I tried to believe him, I knew that he was lying. I could feel it deep inside our mate bond. My heart clenched in my chest when I realized that he was here because he didn’t trust me not to hurt them so much, or perhaps even kill them but I didn’t say a word as regards that. I simply blinked back the tears

Even before I stepped in, I already knew where Michael was seated so I immediately made my way to him, almost basking in delight when his eyes widened as soon as he took in my appearance.“Queen superior…” he let out almost breathlessly. His eyes settled just on my exposed cleavage for a few seconds before he begrudgingly pulled them to my face.“…I thought I was supposed to meet with King Klaus today.” He pointed out, eyeing me skeptically.I shrugged; “well, hello to you too, Michael. I am doing fine and you?!” I sassed, eliciting a breathy chuckle from him.“Oh, I’m so sorry, Aurora, I was so stunned by your beauty that I momentarily forgot my manners.” He quickly responded. If that was his silly excuse for flattery then he had a lot more to learn. Refusing to show how unimpressed I was by him, I smiled, briefly exposing my pearly whites. “You flatter me!”Resting against the table, I leaned

I smiled my toothy smile at him and turned to take a quick glance at my reflection in the mirror.“Thank you, love,” I murmured back.I was clad in a little red dress, and when I say little, I mean that it did little to cover my curves. It was a long dress alright but had a very high slit by the left side, one that almost reached my waist. The neckline was low and droopy, exposing more cleavage than I would have liked but that didn’t deter me. In fact, it made me feel like I could pull this off.My silver hair was in a tight ponytail but after noticing how serious it made me look, I released it, letting it drop and then I stepped away from the mirror.Klaus was already behind me when I spun away
