Chapter 7

"Move out!" A familiar voice yelled and both I and Maxwell turned around only to see furious Alex walking out in rage.

"Who cares?" I whispered while Maxwell half shrugged and wr both went out separate ways.

"We demand to see your Alpha!" These words kept replaying in my head and I fought the urge to ask what the person wanted to see me for. I stood up looking around the familiar but not familiar place until I realized I was in my room and technically, I just woke up from a dream. I got distracted by the noise coming from the pack members, something like an argument but it became tensed and I started hearing cries then I realized a war has actually broken out.

But why? Who would dare raise a war against us?

I had already jumped out from bed and grabbed my sword. Anger and bitterness flushed through me as I saw some servants laying dead on the ground. What the hell is happening?

Yesterday, I was informed of a fake news about war and today.... Today a real war is ongoing. Hatred flashed through my eyes as I stared at Alex and Sonia. What if they had fixed this up to get me? But the moon goddess didn't preform about this.

I took my time to observe everyone, this is actually a real war and not something planned or whatever.

"Halt!" A familiar voice yelled and our enemies stood still immediately. I searched around slowly scanning through the whole place if I could see who the person was but what i saw was utter darkness from where the person called.

"We need to see your Alpha!" The voice sounded again accompanied by a toileting figure. That was exactly the same man I saw in my dream.

" What for? " I asked defiantly and was going to step out but got held back by Maxwell.

"Be careful." He whispered as he wobbled his head side to side.

"I ask again, what do you want?" This time I wasn't going to act scared or anything.

"Little one. I bet you're the Alpha because you're the only one with the aura here." He added with a smirk... I wished so hard to wipe off that smirk from his face with a punch.

"I need to talk to you." He stated like he owned me, I didn't argue and was about following him when Maxwell and Sonia joined.

"I need talk to her, alone!" He glowered at them therefore stopping them in tracks.

"I'll be fine." I'm not so sure about that but I just he wouldn't harm me—or maybe, I pray he wouldn't harm me.

Who's is he?

He wasn't in my past life, nothing about him was revealed to me by the moon goddess. What's his role?

"I came for the spectra." What spectra was he talking about? As far as I know, the spectra was taken away from my parents even before my dad ascended the Alpha throne and the spectra only exist in the time of the old. Besides my dad told me that it was taken away because of a certain man named 'The beast of the east. '

"What's your deal with the spectra?" I asked while analyzing his demeanor and something immediately caught my eyes. He has a rune at the left corner of his eyes... I took my time to look the intruders who waged war against us and realized that they were from no pack... These were rouges, ugly looking creatures, not like the normal rouges... They looked like ancient rouges. The ones I heard about from stories.

"Who are you." I asked again while trying hard to swallow the unknown lump in my throat. He flashed me a sinister smile, something flickered in his eyes as he looked away from me.

"I won't hand over anything without knowing who you are and what your intentions are," I said firmly, my Alpha instincts on high alert.

The unknown man sneered. "You don't need to know who I am. Just know that I have the authority to take what's mine."

I stood my ground, my eyes narrowing. "The Spectra is under my protection. I won't let anyone harm it or use it for their own gain."

The man snarled, his patience wearing thin. "You're just an Alpha, Laura. You don't understand the bigger picture. The Spectra is too powerful to be left in your hands."

My growl was low and menacing. "I understand perfectly. And I won't back down. If you want the Spectra, you'll have to go through me and my pack first! " I added.

"Now you're starting to get it. Would you tell me where the spectra is being laid or I should go for it by myself?" He asked rather haughtily.

" I don't know where it is. And does it worth killing innocents? " Remembering that some pack members are actually dead due to this spectra was mind blowing.

" No one, not a single soul in this pack is innocent. " He's right though, that being said I didn't want to argue more with him.

He left me standing alone and went back to were the others were... Sonia sneered at him but he wasn't moved.

" Don't you dare come here, ever again. " Alex stated, for some moment, I wanted to ask him to shut up but controlled.

" I have an unfinished business with your Alpha and you're no one. " The unknown man stated and walked away with his minions leaving everyone to stare at me with questioning eyes. I was going to ignore them but damn, their gaze held me in place. "What does he mean by unfinished business?" Sonia was the first to ask.

" It's none of your business." I wasn't going to have any stupid discussions with her.

"What do you m—" She was going to ask me more questions but I shut her up immediately.

"I said I'm not going to have any discussions with you!" I hollered.

"Clear this place instantly and a meeting would be held now!?" Seeing the tension in the air, everyone complied.
