The Secluded Springs

Emily POV

The ride was nice, despite the events that had happened earlier in the morning. I fell asleep after about an hour, and I woke up to Easton’s gentle voice, “Emily. Hey, Baby girl, we’re in my pack territory.”

I blinked my eyes a few times and took in my surroundings. We were stopped on the road, but it seemed like we were in the middle of the woods. “Why are we stopped here?” I asked.

“I thought you might want to be awake before we pull up to the packhouse. We’re only about ten minutes out.” He answered.

I had a sudden thought when I realized he called my Emily. It didn’t seem right from him. “You don’t have to call me Emily, you know. You can call me Em.” I commented.

Easton looked taken aback. He reached his hand up to my cheek and questioned, “Can I just call you baby girl instead?”

I couldn’t stop the smile that came across my face, nor could I stop my arousal at his words. “I actually prefer that from you.” I divulged. I could stare into his loving blue eyes forever
