Chapter One

“MATE!”

I turned around. I was confused. Then I tried to move aside maybe the man was referring to the girl behind me but I was caught off guard when he grabbed my hands tightly and dragged me into an empty room.

“What’s wrong with you!?” I shouted

“What’s wrong with me? I should be the one, who’s asking that!” he yelled back

“Ohhhh I know, Alpha James Knight the big bad alpha. Nice to meet you but you see, I don’t care who you are. You can’t just drag me anywhere you like! I am not like a normal she wolf that would beg for your attention, now please” I said as I walk through the doors.

He immediately locked me in his arms. His eyes softens and his voice became calm and loving “Why can’t you feel this, MATE?”

He asked and I froze.

I woke up in the morning feeling new and somehow really different. It feels like I have a lot of energy and I feel so strong. I stood up and went directly to my table where his picture lies. I took it.

“Hey baby, it’s been six years since you left me. I was wondering if you miss me too” I said as I stare at my mate’s picture.

He died in the war six years ago and they said I would be able to have a second chance mate but I don’t want to believe that, and hey it’s already been six years. I hope the moon goddess grants my wish if ever I find one.

I put down his picture and god he’s so handsome.

“Done staring his picture? You’re drooling” I turned around and it was my brother, Alpha Alex

“What brings Alpha Alex to his sister’s room?” I ask sarcastically

“Why ask me? Ask your brother over there” he said and I looked over my bed, my other brother, who was his Beta. Beta Bryan.

“I didn’t even noticed you two entered. What do you want?” I asked

“Before you say no, I will explain myself. You see, I am not a cheater and you know that. She thought I was fooling around with another she-wolf. I was only asking the woman where can I get the ring she was wearing, it was customized and I’d like to buy one for her but obviously I can’t tell her that” Bryan said

“So? I was asking what do you want?” I asked again. Goodness, I know they both have mates. Did they have to shove it to my face?

“Can you help me to make her forgive me?” he asks

I sighed  “You got the ring now right? Then tell her the reason why now, you can now tell her that and maybe include that the she wolf you were talking to is already mated”

“Oh yeah. I didn’t think of that” He said

“Moon Goddess why did you give me brothers like them?” I said as I raise my hands up high and fake crying

“Hey, I am different. I don’t start a fight with my mate except maybe about security matters” Alex says

I was about to say something but was interrupted by a shout.

“Alex!”

“Oh she’s mad, I tell you” I said

Alex’s mate entered my room, she’s also my best friend, Alice Luca. She’s loving and caring but when’s she’s mad, you can’t, I mean you can’t ever fight back. What she says will always be right.

“Oh hey, Cas! We should go shopping later. After I talk to your brother over here” She said and I just nodded

“Hey baby, what’s wrong?” Alex asks

Bryan laughs “Okay, I am out of here. I don’t want to watch my big brother be sweet and all, eww. I am going to find my mate, my Lucy now” he said and left my room

I shake my head and I was about to leave when Alice asked me to stay. I groaned and let myself fall in my bed. Here we go again

“Don’t baby me! In fact, don’t look at me and don’t touch me!” she shouts

“Alice, be careful with your tone, I am still your alpha” my brother warns

“I can talk to you in many ways I want to! Don’t talk to me like I am some bitch you picked outside!” She shouts back

Whatever my brother did, he was really wrong this time. She doesn’t usually talk this way.

“Okay, calm down. Just tell me what I did wrong okay?” my brother said

“See!? This is what’s wrong. I am giving you a chance to tell me but you still act like you don’t!”

“Dude, just tell her what it is. You know she’s right. Always” I say because if he won’t say it, my eardrums will be goners and I won’t be able to hear again and covered myself with my quilt

“I don’t even know what I did wrong.” He confesses and glares at me

They continued shouting for a few minutes and then I heard silence. When I uncover my quilt, I see them still shouting at each other but somehow I can’t hear anything. I was about to speak when suddenly I can hear them.

“Weird” I said

“WHAT!?” they both shout in unison

I shake my head. “alright that’s enough” I said and stand up

“Why did you kiss the girl yesterday?” I ask and I am now standing in-front of them both to clear this shit out. It will drive me crazy if I didn’t

“How did you know, that’s the one I am talking about?” Alice asks

“I heard you say it. Alex just answer so that we could finish it” I said looking at my brother

“I didn----“ I cut off alice “Alice, let him answer first” I said

“What gir----ohhhh that” he said, FINALLY HE REALIZED

“Baby, she kissed me. I didn’t kiss back and I already commanded her to stay away from the pack house at least a kilometer away” Alex explained

“You both need to improve your communication. Now Alice, what will you say” I said and she calmed down already. She sighed

“Okay, I trust you. You should tell me these kind of things, so that I wouldn’t get mad at you, okay?” She said and my idiot brother nodded

“And they live happily ever after, not until they fight again” I said

“Oh sush” Alex says and playfully kicks me

“Hey don’t do that. You’re my mate but she’s my best friend. She’s obviously much more important than you” Alice said narrowing her eyes looking at her mate. I sticked my tongue out like a child

“Okay, fine. I will back off. So you going shopping?” He said as he wrap his hands around her waist

“Yes, with your dear sister and I need to tell her something. Is it okay if we leave without guards? You know your sister can protect me right?” she asks

“Okay, but be home at three. I need you beside me then” he said and kisses her temples then left

He sent me a message though ‘I trust you’ he said. And I replied ‘I promise’

I fix myself up, and Alice is waiting for me in my room. When I finished she literally drag me out and went to the mall

“You should smile often. You look extra beautiful when you do” she said

“I will if you give me, a handsome niece” I said

She frowned “No fair, I can give you one but it’s a girl”

I looked at her shocked

She laughed “yes, what you think is right”

“REALLY? OH MY MOON GODDESS!” I shouted

“He doesn’t know yet” she said

“If only I knew, I would’ve fixed your problem this morning immediately. Don’t you know you can’t get stressed while pregnant? And how the hell did you hide your scent from everyone, especially to him? ” I said, now I am like her mom scolding her.

“I am good at that remember? That’s why I always win when we play hide and seek” she said laughing then she became silent

“I really wish I have parents to share all of this” Here comes the tears. Whenever she thinks about her parents, she would cry and asks me why didn’t they stayed just until she knew how to act like a mom. Why did they abandon her.

“Well, that’s in the past! I won’t let that happen to this tiny thing” she said

Well that’s good, she didn’t cry.

“Then how would you tell my brother?” I ask

“Later, and you are coming with me” she said and winks at me

I don’t like where this is going.

When we got home. She told me about her plan on how she would tell my brother. I don’t like the plan but hey, it’s her way.

“Alex!” she shouted again, like what she did this morning. I put down the things she bought and hide it. It’s all baby stuff, It would ruin the plan.

“Hey baby! Your back!” he said not knowing what’s coming

“Don’t baby me!” she said

“Cas what did you do?” he stopped and ask

“Don’t ask me, look in the mirror you dummy” I said glaring at him

He was touching her and she slapped his hands away. Ohhh this should be good. I sent a message to Bryan and tell him to call our parents.

“What did I do again? I was in the office alone for the whole day” he said frowning

“What is going on here” my father says as he kisses me on my head

“I don’t know, ask them” I said and sighed

“They are fighting, nothing new there, but I sense something different.” My mom says narrowing her eyes at them

“Just watch” Bryan said, I already told Bryan and what’s going on, he was excited, she always wanted a girl to spoil. Like he did with me and I am so grateful for that. Lucy doesn’t want a kid, at least not yet. She wants to travel that’s why, we haven’t seen her for a while. I was amaze that she could go away so long without her mate.

“You were alone? I thought I saw Fay---- Nevermind” Bryan said, this was the plan. Alice knew that he was alone in his office the whole afternoon

“LIAR!” She shouted at Alex

“Bryan! Tell her the truth!” Alex demanded oh now he is mad, that’s my cue

“Alex----“ I start to say “It’s Alpha to you!” he shouts

Oh this is bad, I am now mad at him, he shouted at me. He never does that.

“okay that’s it” I slammed my hand on the chair “DON’T AND NEVER SHOUT AT ME. I TOLD YOU BEFORE I DON’T CARE WHO YOU ARE! IF YOU JUST LISTEN TO ME. I AM TRYING TO TELL YOU SHE’S PREGNANT!” I SHOUTED AT HIM

“I AM YOUR ALPHA! AND YOUR BROTHER! HOW DARE YOU ACT LIKE YOU ARE THE ONE-----WAIT WHAT?” He said

“Dude, the Luna is pregnant. Calm down, this was all an act” Bryan said

“Oh my goodness that’s great!” My mom hugs Alice

“Thank you Mom. Always” she said

“Grandson or daughter?” my father asks

“Daugther” Alice says and they all cheered, my brother is stuck frozen

“Baby say something” Alice says, as she wrap her arms around him

“I am going to be a dad?” he said

“Yes!” Alice says and pecks his lips

“Why didn’t I notice it before? Even your scent still stays the same” he said

“You’ll know later. I will not hide my scent anymore” she said and he carried her and she immediately wrap her legs around his waist

I secretly walked upstairs and closed my room. I sighed

“I wish you were here with me” I said looking at his picture again

I rest my body in my bed.

“You okay?” Crystal asked me, she’s my wolf

“Yes. I just miss him. Don’t you?”

“I do. But I can feel that Moon Goddess prepared something for us—“

“No tala, I wish if I had a second chance mate, I wouldn’t feel anything and so do you. I don’t want to feel what I did back then. It almost killed me, us.” I said

“I know how sad it was, but please be careful what you wish for” she said

She sighed “go to sleep, you have a lot to do tomorrow. You still need to train with the lads tomorrow”

I have no energy to do anything. I need to sleep.

I was about to fall asleep but there’s a sudden knock on my door.

“Whoever you are, leave now, I am already asleep” I shouted

“Cass” I heard Alex’s voice

“What?” I snapped

“I am really sorry for what I did earlier” he said through the door

“I’m sorry. I know I am short tempered. I didn’t have to shout you like that. We are all good” I said

“Okay, if you need anything just tell me. Okay?”

“I need him.” I whispered and I tear came down my face, soon I drifted off to sleep.
