James

“Do I really have to go?” I asked, because I really don’t want to, what would I do there? Sit and watch, mated wolves be lovey dovey? Oh hell no

“I promised them, they would meet my children” My mom said

“Then take Lily and your other child with you” I snapped at her

I realized I said something wrong, I looked at her and tears were coming down her face. Not long after my father came because he felt my mom was sad

“What happened?” My father ask her as he cup her face and wipe her tears

“I’m sorry mom. It’s just I really don’t want to go” I tell her

“What did you say to her?” My dad, growled at me

“I just mentioned her other child” I said bowing my head. I am alpha but I still respect my dad because I still look at him as my alpha

“You know very well that we try to avoid mentioning her right?” My dad said

“Yes, that’s why I said I’m sorry. And if it makes it better, I will go with you” I said and my mom stopped crying and her eyes is twinkling

Oh shit. It was a trap.

“Okay, that’s settled then. We leave now so we can make it just in time. ” My mom said and pulling my dad leaving me in my office

I should’ve known. I guess I have no choice then. This will be the last, she promised me.

They all left thirty minutes ago, they took lily with them, and Cole my beta, was the one in charge of looking after my sister, because I trust no one.

I left my pack. After almost an hour of driving, I reached the Red Moon Pack. I got down my car and tried finding my parents.

“Hey Mom” I said

“Finally you made it, I thought you’re going to bail on me” My mom said and she kissed my cheek

“So this is My son James. And James this is the former Luna and Alpha of this pack.” My dad said and I looked at them, smiled

“Your Uncle David and Aunt Elizabeth” my mom said

“Hello. Nice to meet you Aunt and Uncle. You have a beautiful place right here” I told them and shake their hands

“Wow, the last time I saw you was around five or six years old and now you’re the alpha of the Silver Lake pack” Uncle David said

“Time goes by really fast” I tell them

“Excuse me for a minute. I have to take this” Aunt Elizabeth said

And of course Uncle David followed her.

“They are so cute together” My mom said

“Yeah. So going to get a drink” I told them and they sighed. I told you making me socialize and all is a big mistake, well at least I can fool around here. There’s a lot of she-fucking-gorgeous wolf around here.

I tried mind linking my beta, as he was with my sister.

“Beta, where are you?” I asked

“Bathroom. Your sister needed to pee, don’t worry, a girl came by and provided help” he said

“Okay, meet me at our designated table when you’re done” I said and shut it off

I am alone at our table and looking at she-wolves I could take home. Suddenly my wolf is going ballistic

“What’s wrong with you?” I asked ash

He does not answer me. He’s driving me crazy.

Thirty minutes had passed and Ash is still going crazy. And I get even more impatient because My beta is not here yet.

My mom and dad came.

“Is everything alright son?” my dad asked me

“Yes, I was about to leave. I need to find Beta Cole and My sister” I tell them and I left the table.

I was walking around, and honestly I don’t know where to find them. Then suddenly the most wonderful smell hit my nostrils.

“Do you smell that?” Ash asked

“Yes! Yes! Yes! It’s our------“ he was happy

Before he could end his sentence, I was now standing behind a girl. “MATE”

“Lorcan, did you see my parents?” I asked Lorcan

“No, I didn’t. Maybe they are out there somewhere” He said

“Do you want a drink?” He added

“Sure. I just got here with you. Just need to go to the bathroom first” I said and he nodded

I am now walking towards the bathroom and I saw a man, holding child in front of the door.

“Hey, what’s wrong?” I asked

“She wants to go pee but I can’t go inside with her” The man said

“Oh, come on baby girl. I will help you.” I said but the man was looking at me suspiciously

“I’m Casler Oli, daughter of David Oli, My brother is the Alpha here, so don’t worry” I said

“Oh, sorry. It’s just her brother is protective, Cole by the way” He said and reaches his hands out and so did I.

“I understand. My brother is also protective of me” I said and he gave me the kid

We entered the bathroom and helped the little girl.

When she was done, I can sense that she’s looking at me.

“Why are you looking at me like that?’ I asked

“why don’t you smile?” she said

“What’s your name?” I asked changing the topic

“Lily Knight, what ‘bout yows?” she said. Her brother is James Knight no wonder Cole said he was protective

“Aren’t you cute. It’s Casler Oli” I said

“Ready to go?” I asked and she nodded

We leave the bathroom and gave Lily back to the man

“Thank you” He said

“No problem, going to go now, see you later” I said

And I left them be. I was about to go out when I heard my parents voice.

“We have to tell her now, you heard what the council said right?” My dad said

“I am her mom” Mom shouted

“Keep your voice down!” My dad hissed

Who the hell are they talking about?

“What are you going to tell her? Huh? That’s she’s adopted, was given to me when she was a baby? No!” My mom said

“It would hurt her. Please let me handle this” My mom was sobbing and I can see she’s hurt

“We have to tell her for her to get a proper training” My dad answered

“Her mate died six years ago and clearly she’s still not over it, and now you want me to tell her all of this? That’s too much!”

It’s me. They are talking about me. I am adopted. They are not my parents.

“I’m not an Oli?” I asked absentmindedly

Then they looked at me with shocked, my mom walked towards me.

“No baby, you are.” My mom said

“Stop lying to me, I heard everything!” I flinched and shouted

“No please, just hear us out first okay?” My mom said, trying to calm me down well apparently it’s working, good for them right?

“Mom please tell me. Dad please” I begged as tears came down running my face

“We will just not now, baby. Please just understand us first okay? We still need to talk about this after this party is over” My mom said and she hugged me I hugged her back

I let her go “I need to go, I need some time to think. Please just leave me be”

“Okay honey, just don’t go too far” My dad said and kissed my temples, I nodded and went out

I can’t believe they are not my parents. How come I didn’t notice it before? I am not mad at them because they took care of me and also favored me over my brother’s. My brother’s loved me. They all did. But I was just mad because they kept it from me. How could they lie about me? How could they lie after all these years?

I was about to shift when suddenly a drink was accidentally spilled on my dress.

“I’m sorry, Ma’am. Let me clean that for you” She said

“No, it’s fine. I can handle it” I said and she handed me some towels and tissues to wipe it

Then I heard it.

“MATE!”
