Chapter Ten

When we walked in, her mom was looking at us with excitement. I was wondering why and her gaze was not on any of us but between us. I followed her eyes and yup, we walked in hand in hand.

I am trying to pull my hand off and successfully did and sat beside her mom and lily came down running to sit by my side.

“Hi cassy!” She said

“Cassy? That’s new” I said and caressed her cheek

“Cas is too showt and Caswer is too hard” she answered pouting

“It’s fine. What do you want to eat?” I ask

“Anything you eat is fine” she said

“Baby, I eat veggies. Are you sure, you okay with that?” I asked because I eat salad more often, I know you must be probably wondering I am a wolf and I don’t eat meat. I do but in wolf form. I want to keep a nice healthy lifestyle.

“I want to grow up just like you” she answered

“Okay then” I said and put food on her plate and mine and we started eating

“I knew she would like you” Aunt Rose said

I smiled. I looked over at James and his eyes were full of love and affection staring at me then immediately changed. Asshole.

“Lookie, I finished it all!” I looked at her plate and smiled at her

“Goodie baby, you want to come with me and Uncle Cole tomorrow?” I asked

I hear a growl and obviously it’s from James. “Where are you going?”

I decided to still not talk to him. “Lily, tell your brother to ask his Beta”

“Browther, ask uncle cole” She said and his parents laughed

“Son, what did you do again to make her mad again?” His dad asked him chuckling

He didn’t answer but just stood up and left. Thank goodness!

“Where are you going tomorrow dear?” Aunt Rose asked

“I want to visit the kids in the orphanage tomorrow, Aun---Mom” I said

“That’s good. Kids there are wonderful” she said

“I met them earlier today. They were so kind and welcoming” I smiled at that thought

“Oh you did? I assume you went with Cole?” His dad said smiling at me

“Ah---yes dad, he found me near the lake and decided to give me a tour around” I answered

“That’s why he was grumpy. That dummy was jealous” Aunt rose said laughing

I shake my head “Mom, he shouldn’t be jealous, besides I am not planning on having a boyfriend for a long time”  “even a mate” I whispered that last part to myself because I wouldn’t want hurting his parents because they were nice to me and welcomed me into their home.

“Just let him be. He should be working hard to win you over” His dad said

“Can I get another room by the way? I still am not comfortable sharing” I said

They looked at each other and his mom slightly nodded.

“Sure, sleep in the guest room for a while. Your things will be moved tomorrow” and I nodded thankfully they understood me. I wouldn’t want sleeping beside that stupid person.

“Me neither” Crystal said and I smiled, good thing me and my wolf is on board at this.

After some conversation on different topics. They asked Lily to go and sleep.

“Can I sleep with you?” Lily asked

“Of course. Wait for me at my room, mom, dad and I have something to talk about, okay?” she nodded and ran upstairs

“Are you ready to train tomorrow?” his dad asked

“No, but I have to be” I sighed

“Don’t worry, we will be with you every step of the way” his mom said rubbing my back

“Thanks mom” I answered

“better get going, Lily would get grumpy if she keeps waiting for you” his mom said laughing, I smiled and left them in the kitchen. I walked in the guest room and found lily waiting for me, it was a cute sight because she was trying not to fall asleep.

“Okay, since you are sleepy. I am not going to shower tonight instead tomorrow. Come on” I said and sat on the bed with my head on the bed board. She immediately snuggled up to me and I sang her some songs I know and before I knew it she was fast asleep.

I decided to change my clothes at least and I lay down beside her. Looking at her, I realized maybe if Lucas didn’t die, we would have a little pup now. I thought of that, a tear came running down my face. I closed my eyes hoping that this sadness I am feeling would go away. Before I knew it I drifted off to sleep.

Next Morning, I woke up feeling great. I looked at Lily beside me, she’s still fast asleep. I slowly get off bed and shower. Because I was feeling sticky, I showered and since it was my first day of training, I decided to wear leggings and sports bra. Usually I wear crop top and leggings but I think this is better.

When I was done, I decided to go down on the living room and lay down on the couch, leaving my hair hanging on the arm of the couch. I should wake up early so that I wouldn’t be late.

I left lily sleeping; they said she would wake up whenever she feels like it. Normally around lunch time so I let her sleep.

When I closed my eyes. I heard Cole “Hey, training is in 30”

“Yes, I know. My hair isn’t dry yet. I am still drying them” I said still my eyes closed

“Well I didn’t know, sleeping on the couch is way to dry hair” he said chuckling

I didn’t answer and felt someone wiping my hair.

“Hey” I said opening my eyes

“James would be mad if you’re late. We wouldn’t want that now, do we?” He said

“I suppose. Then Thank you” I said

I have been here for two days and I get the feeling I am comfortable with Cole, ever since our encounter at the party.

“Okay all dry! And 10 to spare” Looking at his watch

I stood up. And we left at the house. We are walking towards the training room.

I broke the silence  “Thanks again. I usually don’t do them. My dad or my brother’s does”

“I see. They spoiled you too much, you can’t do anything on your own” Cole was laughing, and I smack him on his shoulder

“I see you’re having fun with my Beta” James said

I was startled but fixed myself and ask “So what do I do know”

“Train with her. She’s a witch” He said

“Cole, when Lily wakes up can you bring her to the orphanage first? I will be there after training, tell her” I said, he nodded and left and I walked towards the witch

“Hi, I’m Savy” she said reaching her hand out

I shook her hand “Cas”

She pulled her hand immediately like she was hurt.

“You are powerful, you know that?” she said, shaking her hands

“What did I do?” I asked confused

“You didn’t know?” she asked

“What?”

“You were burning me, didn’t you feel that?” Savy said

“I felt mad but I didn’t know I was burning you, I am sorry. I am new to this” I said apologetically

“It’s fine. I think I know where you’re powers are coming from”

I tilted my head. I was curious.

“Really? I didn’t think of that” I said

“What? I didn’t say anything” she said

“You did. You said “Maybe it’s from my emotions” “

“I get it, when you are mad, you produce heat. When you are curious, you can read minds, I am not even from this pack and you can read my mind. Wow. Anything else you know about yourself?” she asked

“Yeah, when I am scared I absentmindedly create an orb to protect me” I explained

“How about when you’re happy?”

“I don’t know. I guess I will never know. The last time I was happy, was when I was with my mate, I mean ex mate. Lucas’’

“Lucas? You mean Lucas Tyler?”

“You know him?” I ask suspiciously

“Yes, he was one of the strongest warrior not only in the Blood Moon pack but also all the packs you know. Sadly he died. He was a friend of mine. And they said he died because a witch killed him”

I couldn’t speak. Goodness, out of all the witches I could be with now, it was her. He knew her, and now hearing his name made me feel so weak and sad.

“Woah!” She suddenly said

“What’s happening?” James asked

I was down on my knees crying.

“Stop crying. Stop being sad, water keeps coming in” she said and I noticed water was everywhere

I stopped crying. The water that was there before was now all gone.

“So okay, summary. Mad=Heat, Sad=Water, Scared=Orb, Curious=reading minds”

“I guess, I need to learn how to control my emotions huh?” I said

“Yup. You need to. You don’t need to train with me, you just have to be with me for the mean time so that I could make notes every time you feel something and powers comes in. Okay?”

“Okay, like a bodyguard or something?”

“Yes, something like that.”

“Maybe after we discover all of your powers we could train on how to make them come out even without emotions. For now, rest for a while and do some Luna duties” she said and smiled, I nodded and went to the locker room to change. I saw a set of clothes, of course, James’ shirt again and shorts.

I went to the orphanage and didn’t see Cole and Lily. Maybe she was still asleep. I closed my eyes and I gasped.

“What the hell was that?” Crystal said

“I don’t know” I answered

“Is that a premonition or something?”

“I don’t know Crystal. It was like I just see her. I see Lily sleeping”

“You need to tell Savy”

“I guess you’re right”

I ran back to the gym and didn’t see her there. I closed my eyes again and I see her with James in his office talking.

I ran towards his office and knock.

“Come in” James said, I walked in. And when he saw me, we was feeling satisfied about something, I wonder what they were talking about.
