Chapter Three

Casler

“Get up princess” I heard a voice and felt someone tugging my quilt

I groaned.

“Cass, seriously get up. A friend of dad would be here any minute now”

Someone was now, holding wrist and pulling me to sit and I slowly open my eyes

“Then tell them I’m sick” I said

“Wait, how did you---“ I look at my door and great, it’s destroyed again

“Sorry. I needed to or else, they would be mad at me. Surprisingly, you are a heavy sleeper and didn’t even wake up when I was busy destroying your door” My brother Bryan said

“I am a heavy sleeper and now I need to sleep more. Go away” I said as I go back to bed and cover myself in quilt

He pulled it again. “Come on, before I ask Alex to come here”

“Fine. I’m up.” I said and stood up from my bed

“Finally, get ready. We will be waiting downstairs. They will arrive any minutes now. Mom and dad expects us to have breakfast with them” he said and left my room

I chose a high waisted shorts and a purple fitted crop top, with wearing white shoes. I showered as quickly as possible and went down stairs.

“Oh my goodness, is this who I think it is?” A woman said, probably the same age as my mom

“Yes, she’s Casler.” My mom said and I stared at her. I don’t smile, not after what happened before.

She immediately went for a hug and I didn’t know what to do.

“You grew up nice and beautiful” she says, but still I don’t smile, I just stared at her, trying to remember who she is

“Casler, that’s the former Luna of the Silver Lake Pack and this is the former Alpha. Friends of ours” My father said

“Aunt Rose and Uncle Ronan” Alex, my brother said as he greeted them with a smile

“Alpha Alex, nice to see you again” The former Alpha said, or should I also call him Uncle ronan?

After a few greetings, we went in the kitchen to eat.

“So, I have been wondering if you have a mate, my dear?” Aunt Rose asked me, I stared at her

“Ahhh…Uhmmmm..” I tried to answer but I just couldn’t

“Aunt Rose, her mate died during the battle six years ago” Alex answered and I looked at him and mouthed “thank you”

“Oh I am so sorry to hear that, I didn’t know” she said and her eyes were full of regret

“It’s fine. Uhm would you mind, if I go out for a while? Excuse me” I said not waiting for any response. I needed air.

“I didn’t know. Oh my goodness” Aunt rose said I hear them still

“It’s okay. It was six years ago and no one else knows, except for our pack. She still can’t forget him”.. Alex was explaining it to them but as I got farther away, their voices were getting blurry

I sat down on one of the bench outside and stare at the clouds in the sky.

“Lucas, I wish you were here.” I whispered as a tear came running down my face

“Moon Goddess, if I have a second mate, let me feel nothing, please, please, please” I close my eyes and put my knees in my chest.

Then suddenly I heard a voice. A very familiar one

“Hey, are you okay?” it was Lorcan, brother of Lucas.

“Lorcan, you’re back” I said as I wipe away my tears

He hugged me. “I’m sorry I was away too long”

“It’s fine, how are things back in New York?” I asked

“Good. Pretty good actually. I just came back for a while and leaving again after the party” he said

“Oh, that” I said

“You’re going. Right?” he asked

“Yes, to accompany you.” I said and sighed

He’s my friend. He was there when we both lost Lucas. He handled it pretty well. He moved on, lucky for him. If it wasn’t for him, I should be dead by now. Luckily he was there just in time. I almost killed myself right there and then but he found me. I thank him for that. I was mad at first but I realized Lucas would be mad at me. So here we are.

“Maybe you could find your second chance mate there” Lorcan said

I glared at him and stood up “We are now having this conversation Lorcan”

“Why do you hate the idea so much? You know my brother would love to see you happy” he said following me, as I walk inside and run up to my room

“I don’t like the idea of having another mate, knowing I could probably lose him to. I can’t Lorcan” I whispered the last part

So okay, I don’t hate the idea but I don’t want another mate that I will probably lose again. I can’t handle that.

“I know but you have to give him a chance, and maybe this time it could be different”

“I said no, we are not having this conversation now” I tell him

“Now? So maybe tomorrow? Or on Saturday then?” He said teasingly

I threw a pillow at him “Shut up” and he chuckled

“Let’s watch, White Chicks” he said and there we lay down in my bed as we watch a movie

“It was good to see you. See you again soon” My mom said and she hugged my so called aunt rose

“We will. And I will bring my children with me” she said

She turned to me and said “I am really sorry about yesterday. I can’t wait to let Lily see you, she needs a beautiful model, and someone to look up too” she held my hand and went in for a hug, I didn’t hug her back. It’s weird.

“Okay then. We are leaving, see you in a few days” “UNCLE” Ronan told my dad and they shook their hands

Not long they left.

“Honey, are you okay?” My mom asked. I can see she’s worried

“Yes. Maybe I need to learn to accept it huh?” I asked her

“No need to rush. We understand. But you need to learn how to smile. Just that” She said as she tuck my hair behind my ears and I nod

“Lorcan. I hope you have a mate already, so that you can stop hanging around with my sister” Alex said

I smack his head “This is not what it’s looks like.” I turn to lorcan and he was just laughing. “Come on” I told him and he followed me upstairs

“Don’t lock the door!” Alex shouts, I sighed. Only if he knows.

“Okay, find a partner and start sparring” I shouted on our warriors. I have been training them, not too long ago. Lucas was the best warrior, he used to train them and trained me. That’s why I am good at fighting and somehow became the best, just like him.

“When can you leave?”

“Now, if you want” I answered Bryan indifferently

“Can I tell you something?” he said, seriously. He never gets serious, not if it’s important

“What is it? We can talk inside” I said as I lead him to my office

“You know I think, you already moved on, but you just can’t forgive yourself and the one who….who killed him, that’s why you think you haven’t moved on yet”

“Get out. I don’t want to talk about it” I snapped at him

“Seriously, think Casler. Think carefully, don’t be scared to open your heart again. We miss you. The old you. The happy you. You deserve freedom. Free from all of the pain. Free from this situation you don’t deserve” He said and opened the door and left me thinking

The last part he said, meant something more than what we were supposed to talked about but I brush off that Idea.

“What if he’s right?” Crystal said

“I don’t care. I know what I feel. And I am sure of it” I answered

“I am trying to help you. We are trying to help you”

“I can handle myself pretty well. I am going out to train.” I said and I shut her off. I don’t really like to talk about it. I don’t like how they look at me, like I am some lonely ass wolf out there in the street.

I started training some more warriors until I was so exhausted to even go to my bedroom. We went training for hours until it was time to go home. But I didn’t feel like going home. So I entered my office and lay down in the couch. Then I felt someone carrying me but I didn’t  have enough energy to look who it is.

A few minutes later, I was in my bed.

“Good Night” I heard Lorcan’s voice and kissed my head. Not long after I drifted off to sleep.

Days went by so fast and before I knew it, it was already Saturday. I am now here in Alice and Alex room, because Alice insisted on fixing me. Starting from what I should wear, my hair and make-up.

“You guys ready?” Lorcan ask through mind l**k

“Yes, we will be down in a sec” I said

“We are all waiting for you down here. It’s time to go out now.”

“Okay” and shut the mind l**k off

We walked downstairs. And Lucy came to hug me and Alice

“I missed you guys!” she said as she lets us go

“We missed you too. How was Paris?” I asked

“It was beautiful. I was planning to stay there for at least one or two weeks but your brother here said I need to come home, so I did” She said

Alice chuckled “He just misses you”

“I am still mad at him for talking to some bitch. Well anyway, I can see that, there’s a little pup in here” She said and touching Alice’s tummy

Well I guess, he didn’t explain anything yet.

“Well yes. She is growing everyday” Alice answered laughing

Then my brother’s came to take their mates.

“We should go” Alex said

Then suddenly a warm set of hands was wrapped in waist. I don’t need to look who was it because I can smell him. It’s Lorcan

Alex growled “Let her go”

“Alpha, relax. I don’t see her that way. I promise I would be her date” Lorcan answered

“I don’t care” he answered

“Alex, it’s fine. You overly protective brother and I should go before he sets his fist on Lorcan here” Alice said and he pulled Alex

He followed Alice reluctantly. And gave a stink eye on Lorcan

“Should I be afraid?” Lorcan asked

“No. He would probably know very soon” I said

“Okay. Let’s go” he said and walked outside hand in hand

There were a lot of people.

“This is going to be a long night” I said
