A few days later, Kelsey was ready to resume school. Dennis offered to take her to college. After getting dressed that morning, Dennis dropped her at the college entrance and wished her well.Immediately Kelsey got into the school premises, she phoned Janet. Kelsey got home and Dennis wasn't there. She freshened up and tried to sleep but ended up tossing from one edge of the bed to another. She couldn't stop thinking about her encounter with Cassie at Rovado earlier. She wondered whether other people had seen Cole leading her up the stairs that night.To get her mind off the thoughts of Cole and the investigation, Kelsey decided to prepare dinner. Two police officers were standing at the college entrance that morning speaking to some students. Cole's parents had requested an investigation to be opened after their son went missing. "I'll walk you out," Dennis said and showed the detective the way out. He returned a few moments later and found Kelsey pacing back and forth in the living room."Problem solved. Dennis drove them to the grocery store and when he pulled the car to a stand, Kelsey wanted to jump out but he told her not to. She sat back and folded her arms across her chest. Dennis signalled to her with his head, motioning that some members of their pack were moving into the store. Kelsey smirked. He opened the door for her and when she stepped out, he wrapped his arms around her.They made their way inside the grocery store hand in hand. Kelsey and Dennis kept whispering incoherent words to each other while walking into the store. Their faces were decorated with fake smiles.Dennis's right hand was around Kelsey's shoulder. She gestured to him to come with her to the fruit section and he followed her. Three ladies were standing beside the fruit section.
