SCARED

“Serafine, you’d get us in trouble with the live that you are doing right now,” Lucian said while still looking out the window. The way he was acting was as if he was expecting someone to just pop in through the main gate at any time.

“I know but I have my reason, and besides, what are you scared of? Or let me put it this way, who are you scared of?” Serafine said while walking to her wardrobe to pack her bags

“What if the alpha finds out? Or what if he has a spy somewhere lurking around? I don’t want to get into trouble, we are meant to just do this discreetly” Lucian added while feeling nervous. He started calculating all the odds in his head. After thinking for a while, he said

“ Serafine, let’s do it this way, let’s postpone this until next time, at least to let off all suspicion,” Lucian said with a serious look as he stared at Serafine

“That’s not going to work, I have to leave today, or else, I might not get such an opportunity ever again. Besides, the alpha is miles away and he surely won’t find out” Serafine said while she started arranging her clothes in her bag.

Lucian scoffed as he said “What about the live? You can’t be so sure Serafine. One thing you don’t know is that Alpha Alcide is very very dangerous. You might not know this yet but he’s the worst person to mess with, I’m talking from expe..” Lucian stopped himself before he could finish his sentence.

Serafine looked at him with confusion evident in her eyes. Before she could form her words, Lucian took her bag, held her hand, and said

“Then we’re leaving now”. Immediately after he said this, he dragged her out of the house. He walked sneakingly ensuring that no one saw them. When he was about to descend the stairs, he heard some footsteps and halted with her. Serafine bumped into him as she did not expect him to stop. After ensuring that the person had gone, he went down the stairs and advanced towards the main door. Before he opened the door, he halted and after thinking twice said,

“I’d have to make us invincible because we must not be seen or else it would be very bad” After saying this, he closed his eyes, cast an invisibility spell and the next second, they both turned invincible.

Serafine felt shocked as she did not expect that he could do magic. Seeing the shock in her eyes, he smirked a little bit and whispered

“It’s a story for another day, now we have to flee as this spell won’t last that long”. After saying this, he opened the door and then left the house. Soon, they were already in a car packed beside the house as they journeyed their way miles away from the pack house.

Lucian sighed out of relief as he could not help but get scared for a minute there as what they did was dangerous and a little mishap would have ruined all his plans before he could start implementing it. He looked at Serafine who was now staring outside the window and thought to himself

‘This is not a bad idea and I can use this to slowly gain all her trust before I strike’. Soon after, Serafine fell asleep.

Some moments passed and suddenly, Serafine was awoken by a metallic sound hitting something and she hit her head on the glass of the car from the impact. She hissed from the pain that struck her and then looked towards the driver’s seat where Lucian was seated. She opened her eyes wide as she found that place was empty and it was like no one was ever there. She quickly looked forward and got the shock of her life. The man she was trying to flee from was standing right in front of the car she was in. He was looking at her with anger evident in his eyes. Anger was even an understatement for what she was seeing in his eyes. She just stared forward out of fear, feeling that any wrong movement from her now would cause her death.

“Get.out,” Alcide said with venom in his voice while still staring at Serafine but despite this, Serafine did not even move an inch without removing her gaze from Alcide.

Serafine was so scared and she was so shocked as she least expected him to arrive at this instant. How long had it been? We should have probably been thousands of miles away from the pack house so how was he still able to catch up to us? Where is Lucian? All these thoughts wandered in Sera’s mind as she kept on looking at Alcide. Just as she was about to move, she saw him walk towards her bed and a sudden fear washed over her. She suddenly felt weak and before she knew it, she fainted

Seeing her not making a move, Alcide walked towards the car and opened the car door. Just as he was about to grab her, he saw that she had already fainted on the car’s seat.

He gritted his teeth, picked Serafine up, threw her over his shoulder like a weightless sack of rice, and just as he was about to walk forward, he told his assistant who was hiding towards a tree due to his menacing aura

“Find out the guy who was with her, I want his head by tomorrow night either dead or alive. I don’t need to remind you of the consequences if you fail to do that”

His assistant shivered in fear after which he said

“Yes boss, I’d do just that”.

Alcide did not even wait to hear his response as he started walking ahead ignoring his aura that was still eminent all over the place.
