BLAIR'S POV

I returned to the beeping sound of the sphygmomanometer and constant prayers to see Brian overcome this.

Steven had left the hospital before my return and apparently had more to do in bringing Stacy to book, than he did here at the hospital.

While I wasn't the happiest person, to be adjist drama, I wanted it to be over really fast.

All I desired was a peaceful existence with the men I now loved.

Sebastine's words echoed over and over in my head.

‘The boundaries of love are the only ones we create and our limits are only as far away as we set them.’

If this was my chance forever, I wasn't about to ruin it by not trying to preserve it.

As the days went by, with Stacy in police custody and Brian hanging on to life by a thin thread, it was gradually becoming a quiet life.

However, all efforts to save Brian declined, hence making my life a sad one.

“Please, stay,” I wept over his bed, watching him lay still and almost lifeless.

“Blair,” I heard a familiar voice call,

BLAIR'S POV After a fun-filled day of putting up decorations and a birthday celebration that consisted of only the most important person in my life, I was sure I was on Santa's good list. All my wishes had come true, and I couldn't ask for more. We were packed, early on Christmas morning, in readiness to return to Winchester. All was set and we were just boarding the vehicle to get to the airport, where Steven would be waiting for us, when a vehicle double crossed us. I knew for a fact that the vehicle was familiar, and I didn't have to think for long, after my parents immediately got down from the vehicle. My heart leaped excitedly to see them, but it was not an emotion my body knew how to express, at least, not towards my parents.“Mr. Williams,” Brian called, in a rather firm tone as they approached us. My parents didn't look happy at all, but that was not something I found surprising. Unless they found themselves in each other's company, they were never happy anyways. “Br

BLAIR'S POVThe content of the letter baffled us so much and my parents barely gave us five minutes to think, before the phone came buzzing with their call. “Williams,” Brian called, “Is this a joke?” He probed. “No, Brian,” my father said, “we have hard core evidence that your marriage to Blair is void, and also that you kidnapped our child, only to put her in harm's way,” he said. “Brian didn't do any of that,” I spoke defensively, “You suggested the priest to officiate your wedding Brian, so surely you knew he was no longer licensed to conduct the ceremony,” my father's tone sent jest and evil grins. “Your wife recommended him,” Brian yelled, “Did I?” My mother popped up, “Rev. Chris is a good friend of mine and would definitely officiate the wedding,” They played a record with Brian's voice. “You manipulative bitch!” Brian cursed my mother. “We don't want to fight with our son-in-law,” she replied sarcastically, “I mean, we are family,” she added. “And this doesn't h

BLAIR'S POV Brian had immediately taken me out of the restaurant, seeing that I was slowly losing my mind. Whatever chokehold my parents had on him, I needed it in shreds, but I also required explanations as to why our wedding was null and my parents were aware the whole time. Our drive from the restaurant was a quiet one. Brian seemed to have gotten dumb all of a sudden and I was fuming in anger. I had my head resting on the window, looking out the entire one hour drive and thinking over and over about the incident with my parents. I had only one thing on my mind the whole while, “27th July, five years ago,” Anytime I think we're making any progress, it's like Brian just goes over to the secret store to buy more secrets. His past was a multi-layered wall and it was literally impossible to get to the end of it. Upon our arrival at the house, we found Steven right in front of the mansion. Brian hurriedly got down and moved over to Steven. “It's out there Brian, they know,” I

BLAIR'S POV I took to flight , shutting the door of the room behind me. I needed a few minutes to process. This was all too much. Lying almost motionless on the bed, I ignored every single call and every knock that came at the door from both Steven and Brian. My desire was to be left by myself. It felt like I was fighting a solo battle with life, a battle I was terribly losing. Where I laid, I had found comfort enough to sleep, but only for a short while. I got dragged back into consciousness by a heavy banging on the door. “Go away!” I yelled, “I do not wish to see anyone,” I buried my head in a pillow. “This isn't really about what you wish for l, Blair,” I had Brian replying. I rolled my eyes, ‘of course, it had never been about me,’ “We are going to come crumbling fast if we do not fix this,” Brian said, “and I cannot fix it without you,” he added. “You need to come downstairs,” “Steven has an idea,” he said‘Of course,’ My voice was as inaudible as possible. BLAIR'S POV It was now three days and Brian took my request to be alone pretty very far.All my efforts to call him, all my efforts to have a word with him proved abortive. His phone will not connect nor was there a single sign of him around the house since he turned his back on me. I grew extremely worried and also had ample time to think about it, about everything. Nothing else mattered, I just needed to see him to make sure he was fine. I would pick his hurting presence a million times over his absence. As I grew increasingly worried and paced our room from end to end, my phone came buzzing. “Hello,” I responded, skeptically, since I didn't recognize the caller ID and only hoped it was Brian. “Your fake husband is really testing his limits now, isn't he?” the voice of the caller came. I rolled my eyes realizing it was my mother. It was not exactly what I was hoping for, disappointment immediately drowned my heart. “You have succeeded in running off the one person who made

BLAIR’S POVWe were now all set for our big day, again. I had begged to have a small ceremony, against Brian’s will to let the entire Winchester know that we were tying the knot for forever. On this fateful morning, I was standing right in front of the mirror, torn apart and broken. ‘The happiest day of my life,’ I often hear people describe, but this was the second time and yet, happiness was far from me. I stared at the mirror, feeling the sting of pain, betrayal, accompanied by a pinch of guilt, all summing up into uncertainty and fear. Brian and Steven had left for the registry and while I waited to be driven there, I couldn’t help question all of my life’s decision, up to this point. In slow steps, I moved over to the bed and stared out the window, as the vehicle drove in. ‘It is time, Blair,’ I thought. I caught a glimpse of the brown envelop my parents had sent, right inside the drawer that was slightly opened, beside the bed. Reaching out for it, I read through every

BLAIR’S POVI laid in bed, quietly with tears flowing down my eyes, onto the side of my face and soaking my pillow. Nothing was to be compared with the amount of pain that overwhelmed me, leaving Brian waiting for my arrival. Just as I struggled to drown my thoughts, convincing myself that I had made the right choice, my phone came buzzing with Brian’s call. I stared at my phone ring and couldn’t find it in my heart to pick up. I didn’t know what to say.‘What was there to say?’ Brian’s calling persisted and when I was eventually worn out, I turned off my phone and laid in mourning. “She has to go back!” I heard shouting from a distance, “Why?” my father asked. I got out of bed and drew closer to their room, where their voices hailed from. “We did say she could return home if he didn’t want to sign the contract, so why is it a problem?” my father queried in loud voice. “Yes, we said that,” my mother replied, “But only because we believed that he loved her enough to want to k

BLAIR’S POV I was immediately pulled away from her, but that did not ease the pain in my heart towards her. I was angry and bitter towards my mother and could not stop blaming her for my father’s condition. The antecedent events were clear that they were both in sync, working towards making my life hell, but upon my return, my father showed some remorse and love towards me, unlike my mother. “Keep her away from us,” I yelled, creating a chaotic scene in the hospital. My hyperactive reaction and continuous crying caused me a terrible headache and I was soon developing a fever. All of Ashley’s effort to calm me down proved abortive and subsequently, I had to be sedated and held in the hospital. Upon regaining consciousness, I laid very weak in bed, still not recovering fully from the effect of the drugs. Tears flowed from my cheeks in endless streams, as my heart housed nothing but pain, regret and hatred. “Your phone would not stop ringing,” Ashley said, seeing I was now up.I

BLAIR’S POV My family was happy. I just became the owner of one of the high-ranking companies in Vegas. My boy just turned one, how could I not be ready. Now I could categorically say that my life had never been happier. All I had been fighting for, for as long as I could remember and now had, and the very last thing on my list, was getting married to the one man that had been able to love me, through thick, thin, storm, hails, the rain of fire, brimstone and Sulphur. Through fairly good times and the bad times, through moments where I struggled to love myself. I couldn’t be more delighted. Contrary to Brian’s request, we were having a quiet wedding with the people that mattered the most to us. The very ones who watched our love story began in the craziest of ways, the ones who loved us through the toughest times and encouraged us to love each other through what felt like the possible. Tears flowed down my cheeks, with no apologies whatsoever to my makeup, as II walked down the

BLAIR’S POV I stood in front of the court, with a racing heart. For the last three months, we had been going back and forth with the company’s case in court and this was the day for the court’s final verdict. With Jennifer’s help, we were able to pull down some of the board members, who were then in the picture and they had given their testimonies to the best of their knowledge at the time. Some of them had also patched their relationship with my father, understanding that at the time, he was being manipulated and couldn’t have been able to help himself. The others thought it was wise to maintain their distance, saying that they were only offering the help they could for mine and Jennifer’s sake and didn’t think it was necessary to have a continuing relationship with my father. In it and through it all, we were grateful that they even showed up, some of which were outside the country already, but all returned for a justifiable cause.“Common, let’s go. I know we have this.” Brian

BLAIR’S POV “Blair!” she ran to me with a hug,This was not one of Jennice’s tricks at all. It really was Jennifer. I was filled with awe. “What?” Jennice asked. “You really didn’t think I was going to let that evil sister of mine kill my only child, did you?” Jennice asked.“What?” I was still stunned. All of me was vibrating. “Oh, sit down.” Jennice said. “I had Jennifer when I was quite young and since my stupid lover would not take me and the child and I was still trying to find my foot in the world I was left to live in, I couldn’t keep her.” Jennice began to explain. “I figured it would be better for her to be in an orphanage, than out here with me and so I took her there.” “It ached my heart that I began to travel a lot and lost track of keeping an eye on her, so she began to go through so much stress.”“When I returned to fix it, I realized my twin sister was after her life.”“Jennifer really was involved in that accident that day, but I stole her from the vehicle and

Before could be asked twice, I fled out of the house, swiping the keys to the car from the table. It wasn’t long after I left the house that I got a text with a location. I diligently followed, not thinking about whether or not I was going to get myself in trouble, or probably kidnapped. I still had my suspicions on who had called and all I could call it was suspicion, since I wasn’t sure yet and it would have been the most unbelievable thing. I followed the location and arrived almost in the middle of nowhere. There was nothing but trees all round I was beginning to think this was some prank call or an attempt at being kidnapped. If it was, I couldn’t even be mad and all I could now do was pray to be successfully out of here. ‘Maybe I had reacted a little too quickly.’‘What was I even thinking?’ I was lamenting and asking questions.I kept trying to reach the number over and over again, bu

BLAIR’S POV Sebastine did not wait to see his father before we left.Luckily, I could leave, although, with a bandaged arm. The bullet had been taken out and the wound was going to slowly heal and I was definitely going to keep seeing Dr. Bruce to make sure that I was fine. Sebastine signed every single thing in his name back to his father and he was leaving the Maldives to literally start a new life in Vegas. He chose us. My only excitement was that we arrived just in time to save him, because I wasn’t sure how I was going to react to losing another member of my family, especially to suicide. When we arrived Vegas, we dropped over at Brian’s house first. Sebastine was going to be living with Brian, before he is able to do anything else.He was done with college and could easily get a job, even though Brian had already promised to include him in the company. Sebastine, had declined both Brian’s, as well as my offer, to work in the company, saying he was tired of family ‘hand-m

BLAIR’S POV We walked into Sebastine with a gun in his hand, just about to fire a bullet into his head. Brian flew for him and I could only stand there in tears, since I had Regal in my hands and couldn't quite get involved in any rigorous fights. Sebastine was hell bent on ending his life, as he began a struggle with Brian for the weapon. “Let it go, Brian!” He yelled, “you both, get out of here!” “Let me be!” He and Brian continued the war for the weapon. “Sebastine, no, please, I beg you.” Ever single word I uttered was choking in tears. “It doesn't have to end this way, please,” I continued. “What other ways does it need to end, Blair?” He probed, “huh?” Luckily, Brian was stronger than Sebastine, sho had spent quite a number of days, without food, but this did not in any way deter the struggle. I took a few steps closer, towards them, trying to beg Sebastine to let go already. “Argh!” I groaned in pain, as a bullet flew out of the gun and right for m the region between

BLAIR’S POV At this point, I was giving up on everything. I was losing hope and thought about letting the company go, but my father was still out here fighting and if he was not giving up, I couldn’t throw all his hard work by doing same. I was quite weary of it all, but had to continue. If there was a slightest chance to get the company back, I had to encourage myself to hold on to it, until we made it big enough to win us back the company. I woke up on this fateful morning with the most disturbing thought. I was restless all night and failed to have any good or proper rest. “Are you okay?” were Brian’s first words that said hi to me, as soon as I opened my eyes. It was pretty obvious that I wasn’t and I had swollen eye bags from not getting any sleep at all. “You need to reach out to Sebastine,” I said, shocking Brian hard with my request. “I am really worried about him, Brian,” I continued. “He is all alone and as if it was not enough that he has criminal parents, he hurt

BLAIR’S POVI always knew that Brian was struggling to deal with the challenges that came with being my life, but what I didn’t know was that it had gotten as bad as stuffing himself with alcohol, to the very point that he was sick. On the first occasion that Brian retuned in this manner, we had just gotten married and since I didn’t know if he was alcoholic or not, so I didn’t quite care. The second occasion was the week he was to get married to Stacy and he was unhappy, from the innermost part of his soul. Now, he was here and lamenting over being with me and just how difficult it was. It melted my heart that even in that drunken state, he could still think about me and mention that he was willing to love me, despite everything. However, I couldn’t stop thinking,‘If he was in this much distress, was it worth it?’ I helped Brian clean up his body and got him to rest, while I walked downstairs to make meaning out of my day. “It’s a good thing they found their way home.” Collins

BLAIR’S POV I now had more thoughts on my mind than running a company, after the period of our grieving. Collins had filled me with questions that all I really did was just lay down and thought through his words, over and over again. ‘Was there a right time to stop loving? If there was, when was the right time?’‘What if we are just making the people we love unhappy, by being with them, because their hearts would rather be elsewhere?’Collins already confessed to never seeing Stacy smile this bright, or laugh as hard as she did, when she was with him, and even I was already sick of how all Brian and I ever did was solve one chaos, after another. I was already so convinced that all my presence ever did was fill his life with problem after problem, and it was quite evident now that he was struggling to love me, and who could blame him?Brian and Stacy obviously got carried away in their chats and the extended period they had to work together, neither of them remembered to return on
