BLAIR’S POV

I laid in bed, quietly with tears flowing down my eyes, onto the side of my face and soaking my pillow.

Nothing was to be compared with the amount of pain that overwhelmed me, leaving Brian waiting for my arrival. Just as I struggled to drown my thoughts, convincing myself that I had made the right choice, my phone came buzzing with Brian’s call.

I stared at my phone ring and couldn’t find it in my heart to pick up.

I didn’t know what to say.

‘What was there to say?’

Brian’s calling persisted and when I was eventually worn out, I turned off my phone and laid in mourning.

“She has to go back!” I heard shouting from a distance,

“Why?” my father asked.

I got out of bed and drew closer to their room, where their voices hailed from.

“We did say she could return home if he didn’t want to sign the contract, so why is it a problem?” my father queried in loud voice.

“Yes, we said that,” my mother replied,
