BLAIR’S POV My family was happy. I just became the owner of one of the high-ranking companies in Vegas. My boy just turned one, how could I not be ready. Now I could categorically say that my life had never been happier. All I had been fighting for, for as long as I could remember and now had, and the very last thing on my list, was getting married to the one man that had been able to love me, through thick, thin, storm, hails, the rain of fire, brimstone and Sulphur. Through fairly good times and the bad times, through moments where I struggled to love myself. I couldn’t be more delighted. BLAIR'S POV As I opened my eyes on yet another gloomy morning, I opened the drawer by my bed and pulled out the only thing that brought smiles to my face every day, a picture of my two month old self in my father's arms. Everyday was a gloomy morning out here, but that wiped the tears that were dried in my eyes, from every night I cried myself to sleep. His smile warmed my heart everyday and gave me hope to pull through the challenges of each day. I longed for the day I would see him smile like that at me again. I lived everyday with the hope that one day, I would make him happy with me again. “You do not get to lay uselessly in bed all day, Blair!” came father's thick, hoarse voice, as he forcefully pushed the door open. “Get out of bed, now!” Mother added. “The chores are not going to do themselves,” she pulled me by the hand out of bed. “Especially not today that we have guests coming,” Off I went, without the time to brush my teeth, take a bath or even change my night wear.

BLAIR’S POVHere I was walking down the aisle, with my father. The very first time we'd be seen side by side with each other, except there were no guests to see this. Only mother and the chief staff member, Mr. Johnson, were present as witnesses to the union. It was a very quick ceremony and before I could take it all in, we were pronounced ‘man and wife’ by the clergy. I was now Blair Brycee.‘What kind of name was that?’ Brycee was a good looking man with thick, brown hair. He had slightly dark skinned, coffee brown eyes and was 5 ‘5 tall, but he was also thirty years old, which made me wonder why my parents did not hesitate to give me away to him. ‘Did they really have to get rid of me that badly?’ Immediately after the ceremony, my parents and the other staff drove off, leaving Brycee and I at the church. BLAIR’S POV CONTINUES Brycee’s ‘don’t wait up,’ took three days and I was terrified. I had gone to my parents’ house several times in the last three days to look for him, but I wasn't allowed through the gate. The guards there kept saying they had strict instructions to not let me in, in case I ever came back. They also said they hadn't seen Brycee in the last two days, as father had given him a week off after our wedding. I had the last option of reporting to the police, which I planned to do first thing the next morning.I heard someone struggling with the door at almost midnight that day and hurried to the door. I was filled with fear and only listened in until I heard Brycee’s voice, groaning as he banged the door. Immediately I opened the door, he fell dead drunk on me. BLAIR'S POV CONTINUES “Roaming the streets out here is one of the fifty dumbest things to do,” Brycee said, flinging me on the couch, as soon as we got home. I kept my head bowed, avoiding his gaze. He was very furious and I couldn't bear the weight of his anger. “And now, thanks to you, I officially have no job,” he said. “I'm so sorry,” I apologized, now feeling terribly.“Let me get a job,” I offered, “do something to help you around here,” I badly wanted to return his kind gesture and fix the damage I had caused. “You would do no such thing,” Brycee forbade the idea of me working. “Please,” I insisted. “No!” Brycee yelled, his voice hitting the top. I was startled, and wondered if we were still on the same topic and what might have tripped him off.There was thick silence and then his phone began to ring. He stared at me, as I waited for him to take his call, instead he headed out, but before he could get to the door, the ringing stopped. “Why did you do it?” I questioned

BRYCEE'S POV I hurried away from her, returning the call I received.“How many times have I told you to wait for my call?” I scolded, “If there is anything that needs urgent tending to, send me a text,” “Send a text for goodness sake,” I was furious. It was already hard enough to keep secrets, living in this small house with Blair. Suspicious actions would blow everything, getting me into serious trouble. “That's fine, I'll see you by the weekend,” I responded to the caller.“Oh, Brycee, you arrived very quickly,” Mr. Johnson, the head domestic staff at the Williams' residence said, as soon as I entered the premises. I raised a brow, expressing my confusion. “I called five minutes ago to let you know that the boss wanted to see you, and didn't expect you to arrive so quickly,” he said.‘Oh, shit,’ I placed my head in my palm. Privacy? Brycee…” Blair was stuttering. “Cat's got your tongue Blair?” I asked, hinting at mockery. “You are such a horrible person,” she began to throw tantrums. “Say something I'm yet to know,” I replied. I was enjoying the shocked look on her face, even though I was fully aware it was not a very nice thing to do. They were files from a life I had to leave behind, a life I wasn't willing to discuss yet, or resurrect. “Blair, for all you know, that could belong to anybody,” I said lightly, adjusting into bed. “That's what I thought,” she said, “until this fell out of your files,” she threw down my I.D, “Brycee, or should I even call you that?” She queried.“If you're not ready to make discoveries, then stop snooping Blair,” I replied coldly.
