BLAIR'S POV

The content of the letter baffled us so much and my parents barely gave us five minutes to think, before the phone came buzzing with their call.

“Williams,” Brian called,

“Is this a joke?” He probed.

“No, Brian,” my father said, “we have hard core evidence that your marriage to Blair is void, and also that you kidnapped our child, only to put her in harm's way,” he said.

“Brian didn't do any of that,” I spoke defensively,

“You suggested the priest to officiate your wedding Brian, so surely you knew he was no longer licensed to conduct the ceremony,”

my father's tone sent jest and evil grins.

“Your wife recommended him,” Brian yelled,

“Did I?” My mother popped up,

“Rev. Chris is a good friend of mine and would definitely officiate the wedding,”

They played a record with Brian's voice.

“You manipulative bitch!” Brian cursed my mother.

“We don't want to fight with our son-in-law,” she replied sarcastically,
