I opened my eyes and saw myself laying down in an unfamiliar bedroom.
It was different from my room at the cabin, the one was much more girly. It was painted pink, with so many girly posters and the sheets were so soft. As I continued to observe the room, it dawned on me that I was just injured with a knife by Hayley and Alaric. “That’s weird,” I said as I placed my hand on my tummy expecting an injury there but instead it was perfect. No wounds nor scars. “What the fuck is going on and where am I?” I stood up to have a peak out of the window but I was greeted by an unfamiliar sight. There were roads. I wasn’t at the woods anymore. This was when I knew something was wrong. I wasn’t injured, neither was I at woods. “It must be a dream,” I thought to myself. “Maybe I should go back to bed and I’ll wake up.” I lay on the bed and threw the blanket over me. I shut my eyes trying to sleep but it didn’t work. “This isn’t a dream is it?” I asked myself. I put my hand on my forehead wondering what was going. I looked to my right and saw a door. “I should probably take a look what’s outside this room,” I said to myself. I stood up and walked towards the door but unfortunately for me it was locked. I knew there was no way a door will just be locked without a key. I had to find the key. I began to search all over the rooms including the drawers. Frustration began to grow on me as I didn’t see any key. “Where the fuck is the key,” I said as I threw a book across the room with all the rage I felt. Just then I saw a key at the mouth of the door to the bathroom. “Finally,”I said as I took a breath of relief. I headed over to the bathroom door and collected the key. After collecting the key, I walked back to the main door and finally unlocked the door. What I saw at the other end of the door made me regret even looking for a key. “Hayley?” I said breathless and scared. “Who’s Hayley?” Hayley replied, looking all confused, but she couldn’t deceive me. “Stay away for me you she devil,” I said before I gave a Hayley a slap across her face. “What the fuck Liz, why did you slap me?” she asked while I ran and grabbed a pen then positioned it like it was a weapon. “Stay away from me or I use this pen on your neck,” I said in fear. All of a sudden a round woman in her mid fifties came into the room trying to break up what was going on. “What’s going on with you girls?” she asked with her face written with concern. “It’s Elizabeth, Madam Hildegard,” Hayley said. “She just started attacking me.” “And why did you attack Nadia, Elizabeth?” Madam Hildegard asked me with a confused look. Nadia? Who the fuck is Nadia. “Sorry ma’am, but you have me mistaken,” I quickly objected. “Ma’am? Why are you calling your mum, ma’am?” Hayley asked me. Things were starting to get confusing, why did she call Hayley, Nadia and why did Hayley call this woman that I have never seen in my life my mum? I knew something was definitely wrong. Different locations, Different people and names, No injuries or scar. “I must have been reborn, omg,” I said under my breath. “Re- what?” Madam Hildegard asked with surprise written in her face. I knew if I wanted to get to the bottom of whatever was going on I had to play along. “Oh it’s nothing ma’am, sorry, mum,” I said as I faked a smile. “Good. Now I want you to get ready I know your trip was long yesterday but you have to be ready to go to Alpha Jerone’s home,” Hildegard said, then took her leave from the room. I needed answers and I sure as hell will get it. “Trip from where,” I asked Nadia. “Elizabeth why are you acting so strangely, it must be that boarding school your mother took you too because now you’re acting like you have no memory of anyone.” “Sorry, it’s the stress. How about you wait for me while I go shower,” I said. “Sure, I’ll wait,” Nadia said as she lay down on my bed and began to press her cellphone. “What’s today’s date?” I asked. “March 21 2022,” “Shit, I’ve somehow been thrown into a year ago in the past,” I mumbled to myself. “What did you say? I didn’t hear you.” “Oh it’s nothing, let me go shower,” I said before entering the bathroom and locking myself in it. I felt like I was in deep trouble as I was thrown into this alternate reality but part of me wanted to know what my mission was here. I was killed yesterday and today I am as healthy has a new born baby. There must be a reason. I finally had my bath and got dressed and followed my ‘mum’ and Nadia to the Alpha’s mansion. We got to the mansion and it was the most lovely thing I had ever seen. There were lots of adornments and paintings that looked like it must have cost an arm and a leg. The staircase railings were polished in gold, it looked just like the ones in the books I used to read when I was younger. “It’s lovely isn’t it. They renovated last year,” Nadia whispered in my ear. “Yeah, it looks good,” I said dryly. It was weird talking to Hayley sorry ‘Nadia.’ Afterall she was the last person I saw before I died when she plunged the knife into my heart. I just needed to act normal so that I could get to the bottom of whatever was going on. “Welcome, Madam Hildegard and you must be Elizabeth,” Alpha Jerone said as he held my hand. “Good Afternoon,” I greeted trying to not raise any suspicion. “I believe Europe must have treated you well,” He asked. “Yes indeed,” I lied, I hadn’t stepped out of the woods in my past life more so go to Europe in this new one. But I needed to get to the bottom of whatever was going on. “Damon!” Alpha Jerone yelled out loud. “Come downstairs and join me.” “Who’s Damon?” I asked Nadia. “He’s the Alpha’s stepson. I can’t lie I’ve always had a crush on him,” Nadia replied excitedly. “That’s cool.” All of a sudden this dark haired, tall muscular guy walked in and it was then I realized. “Alaric?”“Who the fuck is Alaric?” Damon answered with a hint of confusion written in his face. “Damon. She meant to say Damon,” Nadia cut in as she squeezed my arm. “Yeah, I meant Damon,” I said with an awkward smile. At this point the room was filled with tension and everyone remained quiet. Calling Damon had made Madam Hildegard, Alaric and the Alpha weirded out. “Uhm, how about Elizabeth and I go out and take a walk?” Nadia suggested. It seemed Nadia was the voice of reason in this alternate reality. She seemed more responsible here. “Sure, have fun girls,” Madam Hildegard said with a smile. “Lead the way,” I said to Nadia. We both walked out of the mansion to its gate. Nadia then took a look around everywhere to perhaps see if we were alone. “Look, Liz, I understand it’s been long since you’ve been here but you have to stop calling people names that they aren’t familiar with. Your mum is getting worried,” Nadia said with a concerned face. “Of course Nadia, I under
I continued to look at Diego throughout the event till he finally caught my eye and walked up to me. “I see I finally caught your attention, Diego,” I said with a charming smile. “It was hard understanding your look after you practically ran away from me yesterday,” Diego whispered into my ear. “Believe me it’s not like I meant to run away from you, I just felt overwhelmed,” I said as I tried to explain myself. I needed Diego for my plans. But asides using Diego as a means to an end, I actually felt something for him. I felt drawn to him. It was even worse as I watched him speak because my eyes couldn’t help but to play a slow motion of his mouth moving. “You feel it again right?” He asked me as he held my hand. “I actually do,” I said with a smile. “So why are you rejecting our bond if you feel it too,” he said as he stared into my eyes with his light blue eyes. I never noticed he had blue eyes back in my other life. We always bullied him back then but what I d
Damon and I were lost in each other’s gaze almost as if he could remember our past.I found myself stuck in his eyes, those beautiful eyes that made me fall in love with him back in the woods. As I remained there, my mind immediately remembered the sharp feeling of the blade on my stomach which brought me back to present.“U-Uhm, thanks for the save,” I stammered as I got up from Damon’s arms.“Hmm,” He uttered as he let out a smirk.“What’s got you smiling,” I said as I tried straightening my dress.“Well, you look stunning I must say but isn’t my brother not meant to be the one rescuing you,” Damon said with a sly smile.“Oh save it Damon,” I snapped.“Oh hey guys,” Nadia cut in to our conversation with a happy smile.Seeing her happy irritated me so much. How could she be so happy after what she did to me?Even though I was in this alternate reality, I still wondered how Damon and Nadia couldn’t remember the evil that they had done.“Hello? Earth to Elizabeth,” Nadia said as she sn
“Uhm, did I do anything wrong?” Diego muttered as we separated from each other’s hold. “N-No, w-why do you think that?” I asked as I faced the ground, trying to avoid eye contact. “Let’s forget about it, okay? Let’s go back to the party,” He suggested as he flung his arm over my shoulder. “You know what?” I asked while removing his arm from my shoulder. “I think I want to go for a walk, how about I meet you where the coolers are?” “U-Uhm, sure I guess,” He replied in a doubtful tone. I tiptoed and inched closer and placed a kiss on his cheek. I watched him walk away and when he was finally out of my sight, I let a breath of fresh air. “Already sick of Mr goody too shoes?” A voice sounded from the dark. “W-who are you?” I stammered out of fear. “So you don’t know my voice already?” The voice teased. Out of instinct, I picked up a stick and held it forward, trying to look as intimidating as possible. “Stay back,” I cried out loud. Suddenly the person came out into the light
“I don’t understand what you just said Alaric,” I said, blinking my eyes frantically as I stood infront of everyone in our pack together with Alaric. Alaric, my boyfriend, my fated mate, had just dropped some sort of joke to me. Yes, it has to be a joke because there is no way Alaric could stand in my face and say this to me. “I believe you heard me Elizabeth,” He said sternly. “Heard you? No I didn’t. Are you joking with me?” I asked as I looked at him straight in the face. “I reject you, Elizabeth. I reject you! What is so hard to understand in those three words.” I stood still like a piece of furniture wondering where it had all gone wrong. Alaric and I have been the best couple amongst our peers since when we were preteens so where was this coming from. We were in good terms this afternoon, so why is he rejecting me? Especially infront of our peers in our pack. I began to blink my eyes as I returned back to present after hearing the entire pack’s laughter soundin
