Damon and I were lost in each other’s gaze almost as if he could remember our past.
I found myself stuck in his eyes, those beautiful eyes that made me fall in love with him back in the woods. As I remained there, my mind immediately remembered the sharp feeling of the blade on my stomach which brought me back to present. “U-Uhm, thanks for the save,” I stammered as I got up from Damon’s arms. “Hmm,” He uttered as he let out a smirk. “What’s got you smiling,” I said as I tried straightening my dress. “Well, you look stunning I must say but isn’t my brother not meant to be the one rescuing you,” Damon said with a sly smile. “Oh save it Damon,” I snapped. “Oh hey guys,” Nadia cut in to our conversation with a happy smile. Seeing her happy irritated me so much. How could she be so happy after what she did to me? Even though I was in this alternate reality, I still wondered how Damon and Nadia couldn’t remember the evil that they had done. “Hello? Earth to Elizabeth,” Nadia said as she snapped her fingers in my face trying to bring me to the present. “Stop that,” I said while faking a smile. “So, did Diego tell you about the party we are hosting this night?” Damon said as he grabbed a glass of champagne from a waiter. “There’s a party??!” Nadia asked wide eyed. “Oh shit, it was a surprise for you, Elizabeth,” Damon said as he drank the last gulp of his champagne. you “A surprise party for Elizabeth?” Nadia asked with a furrowed brow and crossed arms. You could tell she was jealous of the idea of Diego throwing a party for me. On the other hand, I wondered why Diego was throwing a party without informing me because I have never been big on parties. “Hey guys,” Diego’s voice popped up from behind me. “Nice seeing you brother. If you’ll excuse me, I have somewhere to be,” Damon said and practically bolted out of our presence. “That was weird wasn’t it?” Diego said, then gave me a kiss on my cheek. “Uhm, Diego, when did you plan on telling me you were planning a party,” I said. “Son of a bitch, Damon told you right?” Diego said with a stern face. “Does it really matter who told me?” I said with my arms crossed. “Uh-oh, let me leave you two love birds,” Nadia said then took her leave, leaving me and Diego alone. Diego grabbed my hand and placed it on his. “You know I just want to make you happy,” He said as he kissed my hand. “Yeah, I know,” I replied with a smile. “Now come, your mum and my dad are waiting for us,” He said as he held my hand and walked us around the crowd. I knew this wasn’t the time to be getting angry or causing issues between Diego and I. We both walked together, greeting everyone and all that was on my mind was how to devise a plan to get my revenge on Damon and Nadia. * * * “I can’t wait to be drunk and dance with Damon tonight,” Nadia squealed in excitement. The thought of her still being in love with him was sickening to me and I couldn’t even hide my disgust. “Elizabeth!!! Didn’t you hear me?” She asked as she threw a pillow at me. “Ouch,” I yelled. “Oh, she speaks,” She replied as she rolled her eyes. “Well, I got tired of hearing you talk about Damon,” I rolled my eyes. “You know you sound like a jealous ex. Thank God I’ve known you all my life, if not I would have thought you were in love with Damon,” She teased. “A jealous ex?” I laughed at her joke when deep down I knew that I was indeed a jealous and vengeful ex. “Alright, are you ready to leave?” Nadia asked me as she grabbed her purse. After smacking my lips together to blend my lipstick, I stood up. “Sure, let’s go.” We then headed out of my bedroom to go to woods where this secret party was being held. It was crazy how Nadia was an entirely different person but Damon remained the same. After our short trip, we finally arrived at the venue and it looked just like that parties I attended in my past life. “Omg!! This is awesome,” Nadia squealed. “You look good Elizabeth,” Damon said behind me. I turned around to get a look at him and I was in awe by what I had seen. He wore this black leather jacket that matched with his hair and he looked so hot in it. We both stared at each other until Nadia’s voice broke the tension. “It’s really a nice party Damon, mind showing me where we can get the drinks?” Nadia asked with a smile. “Uhm, sure yeah. Come with us Elizabeth,” Damon said with an intimidating smirk on his lips. Admist my whole plan for revenge, I couldn’t deny it that I was still very much attracted to Damon. “Uhm, why don’t you guys go alone. I’ll look for Diego,” I replied with a feigned smile. “Suit yourself,” Damon said as he winked at me and took off with Nadia. Seeing the two of them arm in arm made me question if the moon goddess knew what she was doing when she gave me this second chance. My feelings for Damon weren’t over yet and I was lost on what revenge plan I could take. “There she is,” Diego said as he gave me a kiss. “Hey Diego,” “You like the party?” Diego asked me with a smile. “Sure,” “Come let’s go get a drink,” He said as he held my hand and led me through the crowd. We finally got to the place where the cooler of drinks were and I grabbed a beer. “You look really beautiful tonight,” Diego said with his eyes piercing into mine. “Thank you Diego,” I replied with a smile then took a large gulp of my beer. I liked Diego but at the same time, the guilt from what I did to him in the past kept on weighing me down. What I did was unforgivable and he mustn’t know about it. As the party went on, Diego and I snuck out to a more quiet place away from prying eyes. “You know I really like you, Elizabeth,” He said with his eyes glistening under the moonlight. “I do. I like you also,” I replied with a smile. “Can I ask kiss you,” He asked as he held my cheek. I hesitated for a second but I decided to let things flow. “Yeah,” Immediately, Diego’s lips touched mine and our tongues began to dance with each other. Diego grabbed my waist while I ran my hands through his curly hair. He began to kiss me all over my neck as he slowly lifted my skirt up. “Mhmmm,” I moaned out loud as he rubbed his hand all over my lap. Things were getting heated up until he uttered three words that killed the mood of what was going on. “I love you, Elizabeth,” He muttered as his lips caressed my ear. Immediately, I lost all the excitement I had in me and slowly pushed Diego away. “Uhm, I can’t do this Diego…”“Uhm, did I do anything wrong?” Diego muttered as we separated from each other’s hold. “N-No, w-why do you think that?” I asked as I faced the ground, trying to avoid eye contact. “Let’s forget about it, okay? Let’s go back to the party,” He suggested as he flung his arm over my shoulder. “You know what?” I asked while removing his arm from my shoulder. “I think I want to go for a walk, how about I meet you where the coolers are?” “U-Uhm, sure I guess,” He replied in a doubtful tone. I tiptoed and inched closer and placed a kiss on his cheek. I watched him walk away and when he was finally out of my sight, I let a breath of fresh air. “Already sick of Mr goody too shoes?” A voice sounded from the dark. “W-who are you?” I stammered out of fear. “So you don’t know my voice already?” The voice teased. Out of instinct, I picked up a stick and held it forward, trying to look as intimidating as possible. “Stay back,” I cried out loud. Suddenly the person came out into the light
“I don’t understand what you just said Alaric,” I said, blinking my eyes frantically as I stood infront of everyone in our pack together with Alaric. Alaric, my boyfriend, my fated mate, had just dropped some sort of joke to me. Yes, it has to be a joke because there is no way Alaric could stand in my face and say this to me. “I believe you heard me Elizabeth,” He said sternly. “Heard you? No I didn’t. Are you joking with me?” I asked as I looked at him straight in the face. “I reject you, Elizabeth. I reject you! What is so hard to understand in those three words.” I stood still like a piece of furniture wondering where it had all gone wrong. Alaric and I have been the best couple amongst our peers since when we were preteens so where was this coming from. We were in good terms this afternoon, so why is he rejecting me? Especially infront of our peers in our pack. I began to blink my eyes as I returned back to present after hearing the entire pack’s laughter soundin
I opened my eyes and saw myself laying down in an unfamiliar bedroom. It was different from my room at the cabin, the one was much more girly. It was painted pink, with so many girly posters and the sheets were so soft. As I continued to observe the room, it dawned on me that I was just injured with a knife by Hayley and Alaric. “That’s weird,” I said as I placed my hand on my tummy expecting an injury there but instead it was perfect. No wounds nor scars. “What the fuck is going on and where am I?” I stood up to have a peak out of the window but I was greeted by an unfamiliar sight. There were roads. I wasn’t at the woods anymore. This was when I knew something was wrong. I wasn’t injured, neither was I at woods. “It must be a dream,” I thought to myself. “Maybe I should go back to bed and I’ll wake up.” I lay on the bed and threw the blanket over me. I shut my eyes trying to sleep but it didn’t work. “This isn’t a dream is it?” I asked
“Who the fuck is Alaric?” Damon answered with a hint of confusion written in his face. “Damon. She meant to say Damon,” Nadia cut in as she squeezed my arm. “Yeah, I meant Damon,” I said with an awkward smile. At this point the room was filled with tension and everyone remained quiet. Calling Damon had made Madam Hildegard, Alaric and the Alpha weirded out. “Uhm, how about Elizabeth and I go out and take a walk?” Nadia suggested. It seemed Nadia was the voice of reason in this alternate reality. She seemed more responsible here. “Sure, have fun girls,” Madam Hildegard said with a smile. “Lead the way,” I said to Nadia. We both walked out of the mansion to its gate. Nadia then took a look around everywhere to perhaps see if we were alone. “Look, Liz, I understand it’s been long since you’ve been here but you have to stop calling people names that they aren’t familiar with. Your mum is getting worried,” Nadia said with a concerned face. “Of course Nadia, I under
I continued to look at Diego throughout the event till he finally caught my eye and walked up to me. “I see I finally caught your attention, Diego,” I said with a charming smile. “It was hard understanding your look after you practically ran away from me yesterday,” Diego whispered into my ear. “Believe me it’s not like I meant to run away from you, I just felt overwhelmed,” I said as I tried to explain myself. I needed Diego for my plans. But asides using Diego as a means to an end, I actually felt something for him. I felt drawn to him. It was even worse as I watched him speak because my eyes couldn’t help but to play a slow motion of his mouth moving. “You feel it again right?” He asked me as he held my hand. “I actually do,” I said with a smile. “So why are you rejecting our bond if you feel it too,” he said as he stared into my eyes with his light blue eyes. I never noticed he had blue eyes back in my other life. We always bullied him back then but what I d
