“Uhm, did I do anything wrong?” Diego muttered as we separated from each other’s hold.
“N-No, w-why do you think that?” I asked as I faced the ground, trying to avoid eye contact. “Let’s forget about it, okay? Let’s go back to the party,” He suggested as he flung his arm over my shoulder. “You know what?” I asked while removing his arm from my shoulder. “I think I want to go for a walk, how about I meet you where the coolers are?” “U-Uhm, sure I guess,” He replied in a doubtful tone. I tiptoed and inched closer and placed a kiss on his cheek. I watched him walk away and when he was finally out of my sight, I let a breath of fresh air. “Already sick of Mr goody too shoes?” A voice sounded from the dark. “W-who are you?” I stammered out of fear. “So you don’t know my voice already?” The voice teased. Out of instinct, I picked up a stick and held it forward, trying to look as intimidating as possible. “Stay back,” I cried out loud. Suddenly the person came out into the light and it turned out to be Damon. “Of course. I should have known that it was you,” I said as I dropped the stick and rolled my eyes. “Oh, don’t drop it yet. I find you hot when you’re angry,” He said with a smirk. “Get away from me Damon,” I said as I walked away from him. “Where are you running too?” He asked as he grabbed me by the elbow and turned me around to face him. “Sending me away same way you chased my brother?” “You bastard! You were eavesdropping on us,” I replied angrily as I pulled my arm out of his grasp. “There was nothing much to watch to be fair,” He laughed. “You’re sick! You know what, I need to go back to Diego where coolers are,” I stammered. “Why? Aren’t you enjoying my company?” He smirked then held me by waist and pulled me in closer. This was torture for me. I tried to resist, especially when I thought about how he betrayed me, but it didn’t work. The more I looked into his charming, sparkly blue eyes, I found myself more lost. Every inch of my body was telling me to let go and allow Damon to do whatever he wanted to do to me, atleast for just this second. “Cops!!” A loud cry sounded followed by the footsteps of everyone at the party running. “Oh shit! Let’s go,” Damon said as he grabbed my hand and we both began to run. It was an exhilarating experience. Running together and hiding from the police. Finally we got to the gate of my house and we couldn’t stop laughing about how we had escaped the police. “Did you see that guy that fell into the pile of mud?” I asked as we both continued laughing. “I think I saw him too,” Diego joined in. I was stunned to see him because I thought he ran home. “D-Diego. W-What are you doing here?” I asked stammeringly. “Well, I was scared something had happened to you till someone told me they saw you go arm in arm with Damon,” He replied with a stern tone. “Hello brother,” Damon smirked. “I only assisted her when I saw you left her in the middle of the woods.” “I did not!” Diego protested. “That’s enough!” I voiced out, trying to stop their argument from moving forward. “Fine. See you at home brother,” Damon said as he walked away, leaving Diego and I alone together. “Diego…” “Nah, it’s fine. Go get some sleep, we’ll talk tomorrow,” He said, then pulled me in for a hug before leaving. My mind was a whirlwind as I watched both brothers leave. I hated Damon as much as I loved him and it made me wonder if I would ever be able to enact my revenge on him. * * * “Honey, are you dressed already?” My mother practically barged in to my room to ask. “Sure, I’ll meet you downstairs,” I said as I picked up my purse. We were both going to dinner at the Lockwood estate and according to my mum, she and Jerone had something to tell us. I really hoped it wasn’t about the party of last night. I grabbed my purse and left my room to go downstairs. As I was about to walk to the car, a girl walking in front of me stepped on my shoes. “Oh come on! The least you could say is sorry,” I snapped. She stared at me for a while, before laughing and taking off. Every inch of my body wanted to break her bones until my mother placed her hand on my shoulder. “Let it go dear,” She said as she proceeded to get into the car. I took a deep breath, then entered the car to act like nothing happened. The car ride started and in no time we got to the Lockwood estate. We came down and I met Diego standing by the gate with receiving arms. “Hey Liz,” He greeted as he gave me a kiss on the cheek. “Hi Diego. Do you mind getting me a tissue or something I could use to clean my shoes?” I asked as I pointed at the mess my shoe was in. “What on earth happened to it?” Diego asked with a furrowed brow. “It’s a stupid girl from town,” I said as I rolled my eyes. “Can you just help me get it?” “Sure,” Diego replied, then took off to go get me a tissue. As I waited for him Damon and I met each other’s gaze and then he walked up to me. “You look ravishing, except uhm, those shoes,” He teased. “Enough Damon. I don’t want to talk to you,” I stated as I tried walking out on him only for him to grab my arm. “Was that what my brother told you to do? I always knew he was quite jealous of me,” He chuckled. “Of course no…” “Children, dinner is ready,” The maid announced. Just in time, Diego came and helped me clean my shoes and we both walked arm in arm into the house leaving Damon behind. We got into the house and sat at the dining table. “So, like Hildegard and I said, we have an important announcement,” Alpha Jerone’s voice resounded across the room. “So why don’t you tell us Dad? Instead of creating this movie like suspense,” Damon teased as he put a berry into his mouth looking at me. “Yeah, Dad, I hate to admit it but I agree with Damon,” Diego said as he held my hand. “Thank you brother,” Damon smiled. “Alright kids, the news Hildegard and I have is…” Just then, one of the maids came in. “Sorry to interrupt but you have a guest.” “Are you expecting anyone Dad?” Diego asked. “None that I know of. Tell the person to come in,” Alpha Jerone ordered. To my greatest surprise, as the guest came in, I saw that it was no one other than the stupid girl that stepped on me earlier on today except the clothes she had on was torn everywhere. I watched how all three men looked at her in shock. “Georgina?” They all called out. “Who is Georgina? And what is she doing here?” I thought to myself.“I don’t understand what you just said Alaric,” I said, blinking my eyes frantically as I stood infront of everyone in our pack together with Alaric. Alaric, my boyfriend, my fated mate, had just dropped some sort of joke to me. Yes, it has to be a joke because there is no way Alaric could stand in my face and say this to me. “I believe you heard me Elizabeth,” He said sternly. “Heard you? No I didn’t. Are you joking with me?” I asked as I looked at him straight in the face. “I reject you, Elizabeth. I reject you! What is so hard to understand in those three words.” I stood still like a piece of furniture wondering where it had all gone wrong. Alaric and I have been the best couple amongst our peers since when we were preteens so where was this coming from. We were in good terms this afternoon, so why is he rejecting me? Especially infront of our peers in our pack. I began to blink my eyes as I returned back to present after hearing the entire pack’s laughter soundin
I opened my eyes and saw myself laying down in an unfamiliar bedroom. It was different from my room at the cabin, the one was much more girly. It was painted pink, with so many girly posters and the sheets were so soft. As I continued to observe the room, it dawned on me that I was just injured with a knife by Hayley and Alaric. “That’s weird,” I said as I placed my hand on my tummy expecting an injury there but instead it was perfect. No wounds nor scars. “What the fuck is going on and where am I?” I stood up to have a peak out of the window but I was greeted by an unfamiliar sight. There were roads. I wasn’t at the woods anymore. This was when I knew something was wrong. I wasn’t injured, neither was I at woods. “It must be a dream,” I thought to myself. “Maybe I should go back to bed and I’ll wake up.” I lay on the bed and threw the blanket over me. I shut my eyes trying to sleep but it didn’t work. “This isn’t a dream is it?” I asked
“Who the fuck is Alaric?” Damon answered with a hint of confusion written in his face. “Damon. She meant to say Damon,” Nadia cut in as she squeezed my arm. “Yeah, I meant Damon,” I said with an awkward smile. At this point the room was filled with tension and everyone remained quiet. Calling Damon had made Madam Hildegard, Alaric and the Alpha weirded out. “Uhm, how about Elizabeth and I go out and take a walk?” Nadia suggested. It seemed Nadia was the voice of reason in this alternate reality. She seemed more responsible here. “Sure, have fun girls,” Madam Hildegard said with a smile. “Lead the way,” I said to Nadia. We both walked out of the mansion to its gate. Nadia then took a look around everywhere to perhaps see if we were alone. “Look, Liz, I understand it’s been long since you’ve been here but you have to stop calling people names that they aren’t familiar with. Your mum is getting worried,” Nadia said with a concerned face. “Of course Nadia, I under
I continued to look at Diego throughout the event till he finally caught my eye and walked up to me. “I see I finally caught your attention, Diego,” I said with a charming smile. “It was hard understanding your look after you practically ran away from me yesterday,” Diego whispered into my ear. “Believe me it’s not like I meant to run away from you, I just felt overwhelmed,” I said as I tried to explain myself. I needed Diego for my plans. But asides using Diego as a means to an end, I actually felt something for him. I felt drawn to him. It was even worse as I watched him speak because my eyes couldn’t help but to play a slow motion of his mouth moving. “You feel it again right?” He asked me as he held my hand. “I actually do,” I said with a smile. “So why are you rejecting our bond if you feel it too,” he said as he stared into my eyes with his light blue eyes. I never noticed he had blue eyes back in my other life. We always bullied him back then but what I d
Damon and I were lost in each other’s gaze almost as if he could remember our past.I found myself stuck in his eyes, those beautiful eyes that made me fall in love with him back in the woods. As I remained there, my mind immediately remembered the sharp feeling of the blade on my stomach which brought me back to present.“U-Uhm, thanks for the save,” I stammered as I got up from Damon’s arms.“Hmm,” He uttered as he let out a smirk.“What’s got you smiling,” I said as I tried straightening my dress.“Well, you look stunning I must say but isn’t my brother not meant to be the one rescuing you,” Damon said with a sly smile.“Oh save it Damon,” I snapped.“Oh hey guys,” Nadia cut in to our conversation with a happy smile.Seeing her happy irritated me so much. How could she be so happy after what she did to me?Even though I was in this alternate reality, I still wondered how Damon and Nadia couldn’t remember the evil that they had done.“Hello? Earth to Elizabeth,” Nadia said as she sn
