A NARROW ESCAPE

"You are hallucinating, I'll stay with you, Laura I won't leave your side until we figure out what's going on" Dan's expression truned grave with concern but she failed to see the tiny smirk on his lips.

"Thank you so much Dan for risking your life to help me out, I'm really grateful" Laura sincerely appreciated him, she even that without his help she would have probably died in that prison for the crime she had never committed.

Liliana would have have had her way with her if he hadn't come at that time and help her. Her smile brightened up as she stared at him but the smile immediately truned upside down when she saw the srimk on his face.

"He had really risked his life helping you, didn't he ? Well that a shame" she heard him say and she could immediately tell that he wasn't the Dan she knows.

There was an odd thing about the energy he gave snice he came in, it was a dark energy but she failed to recognize it untill now.

She stood up swiftly as she watch him still grinning.

"Who are you ? What did you do with Dan ? Dan ! Where is he ?" She yelled furiously her eye never left the person seating right in front of her.

Been caught by Laura she sucks her teeth loudly as she frowned.

"This is really no fun snice you know I'm not him" she replied and Laura could not help but scoffed.

She was just about to for into a trap and www only a little bit lucky to find out the truth before it was to late. She wached in terror as the same Dan she was looking at truned into Liliana.

Laura gaps in disbelief, she could not contain her surprise and felt fear slowly creeping into her body.

"What did you do to him ?" She requested, her voice shaking from terror. She was afraid of the unknown evil Liliana must have done to Dan, her saviour.

Liliana on the other hand was furious that the lady standing in front of her was now unhurt and looking better even after she had attacked her few minutes back. Now she has to start all over again to kill her all because of that crazy son of a bitch that help her.

Good thing she had relief her anger by killing him too since he was willing to dead when he tried to find out the truth.

"What a fool, you should worry about yourself and let the dead be okay ? You don't need to worry about the dead" she answered with a bright smile on her face.

Laura hated the smile on her face, that same smile she used to mask her real devilish nature. She referred to Dan as the dead that means Dan was dead.

Hearing this Laura was heart broken, she blamed herself for his death. He died while saving her that means she killed him and this made her devastated.

How could a person be so cruel ? Why was Liliana this heartless ? Laura thought but she just could not find an answer.

"You are a monster ! What have I every done to you ?" She asked furiously, her heart hurting from heartbreak.

Laura could not hold in her anger, she had finally explode but to Liliana she was only acting pitiful and trying to make her feel like the bad guy.

To Liliana she was not a bad guy but is only doing what is best for everyone, she was a saviour not a monster like Laura had claimed.

Laura know she was doomed and tried to find a way to escape with been caught in Liliana's trap. Her eye roamed the room as she calculated her next move in her head making sure she shows no sign at all.

Dan is now dead and the only way she can appreciate him and make sure he did not die in vain was to escape alive and not get killed by Liliana.

"A monster you say ? I don't think I would agree with you on that Laura" Liliana answered and she scoffed.

Liliana only hated her because she is mated to the alpha who could not even feel there mate bound.

So what is the need of her framing her as a murderer and trying to kill her when he isn't even aware that they where both mate ?

"Don't you think it unnecessary lying against me and trying to kill me because of mate who is obviously in love with you ?" Laura asked, although just saying her mate was in love with another person made her wolf angry but she tried her best to suppress her anger and her heart aching from heartbreak.

"I know he his in love with me but he his still your mate, even if I hate the fact that I have to say this but the mate bound is there and soon he would notice it and you ! You can try to do something funny, so I can't let you leave you are a threat" She answered and Laura was in awe.

She saw her as her threat so she is trying to kill her ? She doesn't even have time to be sentimental right now, she just need to get out of here frist.

Liliana felt a energy that the alpha was closed to where he had kept her and she was not there. She had put a barrier to make sure she knows when he is close by.

"Fuck ! I need to get over with this" she said inwardly, she could not get caught. The Alpha would be furious to see the bed empty with her gone.

She truned around in attempt to finish Laura as quick as possible but she was surprised to see no one standing there. Laura had escape.

"That bitch ! Where did she go ?" She cursed, she could not pursue after her and she was furious.

She immediately disappeared like the wind as she felt the alpha was closer.

Laura had barely escaped when she saw Liliana was distracted.

She run as fast as her wolf legs could carry her but ended up falling mercilessly down the cliff.
