13. A CHALLENGE

My gaze lifted to meet Ronald's as we both wondered what was happening in the maids quarters. 

I was the first one to exit the room with Ronald coming behind me. 

I walked towards the maids quarters and hearing screams all over made it get confirmed that there was something big going on there. 

I stared at the area and my eyes caught the shattered blue glasses on the floor, scattered everywhere prior to giving injuries to the people around if they were not careful. 

I moved more closer as I see people gathered around a well. 

I wanted to ask one of the maids what was going on but Ronald beat me to it. 

“What's going on here?” He asked as some of the maids turn to face us. 

“Alpha, someone had fallen into the well and the security guards are yet to arrive” the maid said. 

“Her mate was with her when it happened and had dropped the glass table on the ground when he wanted to go sought out for help” the maid further explained seeing Ronald staring back and forth at the broken glasses. 

“So is anyone in there to save her??” I asked hoping it's a yes. They won't want to tell me they were all staying there expecting her mate to come back with a security guard or something. 

“There's no one in there, the well is too deep and everyone is afraid of entering into there” The maid explained making me gasp. 

There was a woman in there but they all stood here not attempting to save her??

I peeped at the well and couldn't even find any trace of the lady inside it. 

“Get me a rope, quick!” I yelled as I jumped into the well without thinking twice but I was sure I heard Ronald's voice yelling Freya. 

My thoughts was disrupted as I felt myself in the water with water spurting around. 

It was a well but it was deep and wide, I searched for the maid and soon found her laying unconscious at a corner inside the well. 

I dive towards her and wrapped her tightly in my arms so I won't have difficulties climbing back up.

I checked for the rope and saw as they threw it down the well. 

I clutched her more tightly to myself and grabbed the robe, I had the power and strength to climb back up without using the robe but with the girl in my arms, it would be a little bit difficult. 

I climbed up through the robe and got out of the well with the girl, Ronald helped in getting her off me. 

He laid the girl on the ground while someone who had went to get a towel quickly covered me with it. 

“Thanks” I muttered and she smiled. 

I stared at the girl on the ground who was unconscious. Some girls were beside her trying to wake her up just by tapping her. It made me sigh. It doesn't work like that. 

I took the towel off my body and went to her side, I placed my hands together and shoved the girls aside. I pressed her chest with those hands as I could see Ronald watching at me in earnest. 

After pressing her chest with hands for a while, she coughed out water, it was expected as she had been under water for a while. 

She squinted her eyes open and I sighed in relief, I sat back down on the floor with relief rushing over me. 

I saw someone place a towel on my body again and it was Ronald. I smiled at him making him smile back. He lifted me off the ground and cuddled me to his side. 

Just then, the maid’s mate who had went out for help came back with guards making me scoff. 

He saw that his mate was out of the well and was sitting up consciously. He rushed to her and they talked for a while. 

He then looked back at me and stood up facing me. 

“Thank you, Miss Freya” he said. 

“It's nothing, you could have lost her having left her in the water for so long” I said with a Stern glare and she apologized. 

“Let's get you changed” Ronald said and I nodded as we walk back to the room together. 

He stood outside while I went to get changed and after I had changed into a dry tank top and a jeans. I walked back out and saw him still waiting, it told me he had something or somewhere to take me. 

“Need to go somewhere?” I asked him and he nodded. 

He took me by the hand and we both walk together with me wondering where we were going. 

I finally knew when we took a turn to the training ground of the pack. 

We got there and I saw warriors training so hard as I was enticed by them and I was forced to keep staring. Girls and guys all training together. Fighting each other and punching bags. 

They all stopped when they saw the Alpha approaching, I could see some of them stare at me with sweet and calm glare but some had intense and deadly glare shot at me seeing me holding hands with the Alpha. 

“This is Freya, a lycan warrior” Ronald said as his hand went to my shoulder. He introduced me to the other warriors who in turn introduced themselves one after the other. 

But I could see some of them weren't glad to see me. They actually think I don't belong there. 

“Mind having a quick fight? Lycan Warrior Freya?” One of them asked, one who had introduced herself to be Leah. 

Leah! I've heard that name from the maids, the pack warrior who was a beta to the Alpha and also the strongest female warrior in the pack. 

My stomach twisted, could I really fight her??? That was all I could think of as the intense glare between my eyes and hers intensified.
