REBORN

Laura's POV

“Don’t turn” I shouted but it was too late as he had already turned.My gosh!!

Instead of shielding my head from slamming on the tiles of the restroom, my hands reach for the blanket to try cover up my nakedness. I don't get to the either of the two, but, as I fell back, a strong arm wrapped around my waist, preventing me from falling. 

I looked up to see him holding me, but his eyes were closed.

He's staring at me, but not staring at me and I wonder how he was able to do that. I

"I'm gonna let you go right now-" He said and I nod. 

"Can you stand on your two feet without tripping again?" He asked.

I blushed red immediately, I have no idea why. "Yes" I muttered.

"Good." He said, raising me up. His arm is still on my waist as he steadied me. 

When he lets go of me, I frown in sadness, missing the feel of his arm on me. Did I mention I was stark naked when he caught me and I could feel his body heat against mine? That should be the best feeling ever. This is not me, I shouldn't be having these thoughts about a man that isn't my mate and he's probably mated to a girl somewhere. At the thought that he is mated, I felt this pang of jealousy hit me and I groaned.

"Are you okay?" He is quick to ask. 

"Yes." I answered, bending down to pick up the blanket. My whole body hurt, protesting to the movement. I don't let that stop me as I get up and wrap the cloth around me. 

"Can I open my eyes now? It's really dark here. " he stated and I chuckled. 

"Yeah, you can open your eyes now." I said. 

"Thank you." He muttered, snapping his eyes open and am greeted with a warm green eyes. 

"Thank you for saving me." I said, staring at his eyes. It's just too beautiful that I can't look away, no matter how I try. 

"My pleasure." He smirks, going out of the restroom.

"I'll leave you to do your business, I'll be back in the room and there will be clothes to change into." He said as he left. 

I took my time to shower, using that spare time to remember what happened and how I ended up here. 

I clenched my fist and gritted my teeth in anger as I remembered the little incident. Lilian had used her evil scheme to deny me a chance with my true mate. I have no idea why Kneed couldn't sense the mate bind immediately I appeared in front of him. It just had to be that scheming witch. I don't want my past here, so I'm going to hide it from them. A fresh start, fresh life is all I seek and that's what I'll have. 

I finish up showering and just like that strange guy said, there were clothes to change into. I immediately changed into the white floral dress given to me and stepped out of the bathroom. 

"Wow!" The guy stared in awe as he saw me. 

"What?" I asked, looking at the dress.

"You look beautiful." He commended me and I don't know what to say. 

"Thanks, I guess. " I replied after seconds of intense staring. 

"I don't know your name yet, care to tell me?" He asked and I nodded. 

"I'm Freya. Freya Jones." I answered. My name was no longer Laura, Laura died when she fell off that cliff. 

"Freya Jones-" He muttered as if trying to memorize the name. 

"That's a pretty name. From which pack?" He asked and I froze. He suggested we walk as we talk and we were currently in the garden. 

"I-i can't remember." I muttered. Of course I can remember, but he doesn't know that. 

He stared at me like he didn't believe me and I knew I had to act quick. 

I squeezed my face like I was in pain and held my head "ow!" I screamed in pain.

"Freya, are you okay?" He asked worriedly and I knew I had to take the acting up a notch so I forced out tears from my eyes. 

"I'm trying to remember, but it's causing me a headache." I muttered, bending to the floor still feigning pain. 

"Then stop!" He said, pulling me off the ground and carrying me in a bridal style. 

He's panicking, I can feel his heart racing. But why? Why will he care so much for a rogue wolf? Technically, I'm not a rogue wolf, my park didn't reject me, but still. It's weird and plus I have no idea who he is. From his posture down to how he is dressed he looks like an important figure. 

I'm still wincing in pain as he took me back to the room I woke up in, then I slipped unconscious the moment he placed me on the bed.

I heard retreating footsteps and I know he's out of the room, probably to call a doctor. 

I opened my eyes, smirking victoriously for an acting gone fight. I should be featured in dramas, I'm sure I will nail it. 

I heard footsteps just outside the door and I shut my eyes closed. 

"Can you attend to her, doctor?" 

"Sure, Alpha. Just wait outside." 

Alpha? He's an Alpha? An alpha was that nice and caring to me? He doesn't look like one, he's too humble and nice to be an alpha. 

The doctor does a few checks on me and turns to leave. I decided it was time to wake up. 

"What happened?" I asked, looking around in disarray. 

"I believe you passed out, miss." The doctor said and I sighed. 

"I'm sorry." I whispered, tears trickling down my cheeks. 

"You don't have to apologize, miss. I believe it is pretty normal." The doctor said, heading to the door. My guess is he wants to tell their Alpha that I am awake. 

Immediately he sets his foot in, I coil myself on the bed, like I am scared.
