Chapter Forty Five

"It wasn't a mistake, I did it on purpose and that's because – I like you."

I froze, my eyes widening and almost popping out of their sockets. Wha – what is he saying?

"I know it sound sudden but I mean it." He repeated, his gaze intense.

"How come?" That was the only word I could get out of my mouth after minutes of staring at him in shock.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"I mean, how can you like someone like me?" I certainly didn't understand how an Alpha like him could possibly like me. Moreso, I was pregnant, for another man, so how?

His face warped into an annoyed frown. "What do you mean by someone like you? Aren't you worth loving? Is that how you think it yourself?" His voice suddenly became raised, mad my lips pursed. Why is he suddenly angry?

I bit my lip."I just didn't expect it." I mumbled slowly and he sighed. "I know it's sudden, but think about it." He said and then he was out.
