"Help me!" The desperate cry in my mind link jolted me awake. I recognized Avery's voice instantly. I quickly tried to mindlink her again but it bounced back filling me with surprise and concern.

Yet, the knowledge that Avery was still alive gave me hope. I leapt off the couch, where I had fallen asleep on, and connected my mind with Drew's as I tried mindlinking him. But, as expected, he blocked my attempt. Just as I was about to give up, his gruff voice responded. "What do you want?"

'Any leads?' I asked, hastily.

'No, I'm trying to track her scent to nearby packs but it's yielding nothing so far.'

'Keep trying.' I said and he scoffed. 'You don't get to order me ar – " I cut him off before he could continue and mind-linked and mind-linked Mavis to come. Within minutes, Mavis arrived.

"Found anything?" I asked abruptly.

He shook his head. "It's as if she vanished without a trace. No one has also seen her."

"She mind-linked me." I said
