Settled in the corner of a bar, I downed a glass of tequila before filling it up from the bottle that was on the table. I was in a bar which was away from the pack house. After Avery's words of wanting to leave, the only thing I could think of was getting a drink, but I couldn't do that in front of Avery, so came here instead.

"Alpha King." I turned at the sound of the voice. My eyes landed on Mavis who was walking towards me. I had called him to join me.

"What's going on? Why are you drinking here instead of the pack house?" He asked as he settled down in front of me.

"Avery is there." I replied, and took the bottle of whiskey, pouring some of its content in a clean glass. I pushed it towards him when I was done. He passed me a careful look before taking it.

"Is something bothering you, Alpha?"

"Just call me by my name." I said.

"Huh?" He mumbled, shaking his head immediately. "I can't do that."
