After hours of working in my office, I decided to head back to my room, hoping Avery would be more calm than she was the last time I saw her, even though she had the right to act that way.

Few meters to my suite, I ran into Mia who asked to see Avery. I didn't cease to give her permission. She had been worried about Avery throughout the time she was gone and even helped finding her, but instead of today, I told her to do it tomorrow since it was already getting late.

We parted and I continued my journey to my suite. I was met with silence the moment I stepped into the suite, so I made my way to the room, and there she was, Avery was laying peacefully on the bed, her lashes hugging each other as she slept.

A sigh escaped my lips as I strolled to the bed before settling down on the edge. I reached out to caress her face but just as I was about touching her face, her eyes snapped open. I quickly retracted my hand, putting on a smile.
