Chapter Forty Four

The moment Alpha Jared leaped out of the window, my hand went to my chest as I plopped on the bed. Breathing in and out, I tried to calm my racing heart and it took me few minutes before it was a success.

I left the bed to put on my nightwear before going back to it. I was laying down when my eyes caught something poking out of the drawer beside the end. I reached out to open it, my brows raising in confusion when I saw a packaged bag laying there.

"What's this?" I mumbled confusedly when I saw a box inside the bag.

As I removed it, I realized it was a phone pack. I raised my brows, confused by why a phone was in here. I peeled it open, realization hitting me as I recalled Alpha Jared's words. He had told me he bought me a phone so we could communicate easily. I rolled my eyes. He probably used it as an excuse to make me believe him.
