Chapter 44

Aurora pov 

I felt a shiver run down my spine as I wondered if I should go. But something about the message drew me in, making me feel like I had to know what the alpha wanted...

"No, I wouldn't go," I thought to myself. I distracted my mind away from the thought, making some analyses for my fashion business. As it had become one of the biggest growing businesses in the city, both the alpha's influence and my hard work had taken me this far.

As I sat at my desk, pouring over designs and financial reports, I felt a sense of pride and accomplishment wash over me. My fashion business had come a long way, and I knew that I owed a lot of it to the alpha's influence and support.

But I also knew that I had worked incredibly hard to get to this point. I had put in countless hours, pouring my heart and soul into every aspect of the business. And it had paid off.

As I analyzed the latest sales figures and customer feedback, I felt a sense of excitement and anticipation. I knew that there were still challenges ahead, but I was confident that I had the skills and determination to overcome them.

Just as I was starting to get lost in my work, I heard a knock at the door. It was one of the pack's assistants, with a curious expression on her face.

"Aurora, the alpha is asking for you," she said, her voice hesitant. "He says it's urgent."

I felt a flutter in my chest as I wondered what the alpha could want. But I pushed the feeling aside, reminding myself that I had made a decision to stay away from him.

"I'm busy, tell the alpha I'll speak with him later."

The assistant nodded and left, but I couldn't take the feeling out of my mind that the alpha wasn't going to give up easily...

I tried to focus on my work, but my mind kept wandering back to the alpha. What could he want to talk to me about? Was it something important, or was he just trying to get my attention?

As I sat there, trying to concentrate, I heard the sound of footsteps outside my door. They were heavy, deliberate footsteps, and I knew without a doubt that it was the alpha.

I felt a bit of tense as he entered the room, his eyes fixed intently on mine. He was dressed in a simple white shirt and black pants, but he looked more powerful than ever.

"Aurora," he said, his voice low and commanding. "We need to talk."

I stood up, trying to look confident, but my heart was racing. What did he want to say to me? And why did he look so serious?

"I'm listening," I wrote.

The alpha walked closer, his eyes never leaving mine. "I know you tore up the note," he said. "But I need to ask you something. Will you meet me in the garden at dawn tomorrow?"

I felt a flutter in my chest as I looked at him. Why was he so insistent? And what did he want to talk to me about?

But as I looked into his eyes, I saw something there that gave me pause. Something that looked almost like...I don't know.

And in that moment, I knew that I had to hear what he had to say...

 I nodded, almost unnto. The alpha's face lit up with a small smile, and he turned to leave.

"I'll be there," I wrote, my hand moving swiftly across the paper.

The alpha turned back, his eyes locking onto mine. "I'll be waiting," he said, his voice low and husky.

And with that, he was gone. I was left standing alone in my room, wondering what I had just gotten myself into.

As the door closed behind the alpha, I felt a bit of fear. What had I just agreed to? And what did the alpha want to talk to me about?

I tried to let off the feeling of unease, telling myself that I was being ridiculous. But as I sat back down at my desk, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was off.

I spent the rest of the day in a daze, my mind wandering back to the alpha's words. What did he want to talk to me about? And why did he look so serious?

As the sun began to set, I knew that I had to try and focus. I had a business to run, after all. But as I poured over designs and financial reports, my mind kept wandering back to the alpha.

What was he planning? And what would he reveal to me in the garden tomorrow?

I couldn't get the feeling that my life was about to change in ways I couldn't even imagine...

As the night wore on, I found myself growing more and more restless. I couldn't concentrate on my work, and my mind kept wandering back to the alpha.

What did he want to talk to me about? Was it something good, or something bad?

I tried to push the thoughts aside, telling myself that I would find out soon enough. But as I lay in bed, I couldn't shake the feeling that tomorrow was going to be a turning point.

I finally drifted off to sleep, but my dreams were filled with images of the alpha and the mysterious meeting in the garden.

When my alarm went off the next morning, I felt a bit of fear. Today was the day. Today, I would find out what the alpha wanted to talk to me about.

I got dressed and made my way to the garden, my heart pounding in my chest. The sun was just starting to rise, casting a golden glow over the flowers and trees.

I saw the alpha waiting for me, his back turned to me as he gazed out at the garden. He was dressed in the same white shirt and black pants as the day before, and his hair was perfectly messy.

As I approached him, he turned to face me, his eyes locking onto mine. "Aurora," he said, his voice low and husky. "Thank you for coming."

I nodded, my heart still pounding in my chest. "What did you want to talk to me about?" I wrote, my hand shaking slightly.

The alpha smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Let's walk," he said, offering me his arm.

I took it, feeling a spark of electricity as our skin touched. As we walked through the garden, the alpha began to speak, his words sending shockwaves through my entire body...
