Chapter 25

Aurora's pov

I tried to shake off his grip, but he held firm. but trembling slightly.

The alpha's eyes narrowed. "You're not going to just walk away from this," he said. "We need to talk."

I tried to struggle, but he was too strong. He pulled me back into the room, the reporter and the other guests watching in silence.

The alpha dragged me to a private corner, blocking the people behind us. "What's going on?" he demanded, his eyes blazing with anger. "Why didn't you tell me you were pregnant?"

I stood tall, trying to keep my composure steady. "I didn't think it was any of your business," I wrote.

The alpha's face turned red with rage. "Not my business?" he repeated. "You're carrying a child, and it's not my business?"

I shook my head. "Yes I'm carrying my child," I wrote, showing him to his face, as my hand shaking.

The alpha's eyes narrowed. "Don't lie to me," he growled. "I know but it is a child you carrying. And I'll do whatever it takes care of it, since you are a loner in this city."

I felt a chill run down my spine as I realized the alpha's true intentions. He did care about me or my well-being and he cared about putting it as his responsibility to keep me safe.

I knew I had to get away from him, no matter what it took. But as I turned to leave, I realized that I was trapped. The alpha had me right where he wanted me.

As the alpha's guards stood at attention by the door, he turned to me and said, "You'll leave when I tell you to." The hall was silent, except for the sound of camera shutters clicking away.

"We'll settle this at my place," the alpha said, his voice firm. "Now, follow me." He strode out of the hall, with me reluctantly trailing behind him, my head down and my notepad clutched in my hand.

We entered his car, and as we drove away from the crowd, the alpha remained silent. I couldn't help but wonder what he had planned for me.

When we arrived at his mansion, the alpha grasped my hand tightly, leading me inside. He snatched my notepad from me, dropping it onto a nearby table.

"Now, write," he commanded. "I need all the answers I can get."

I hesitated for a moment before beginning to write. "The child is complicated, and I was already pregnant when I entered your city."

The alpha's eyes scanned my words, his face twisted in anger. "This is rubbish, absolutely," he spat. "Why didn't you tell me?"

I continued writing, determined to make him understand. "I was scared, and I didn't know what you would do. I'm telling the truth I was pregnant before I came here."

The alpha's face turned red with rage as he read my words. "You expect me to believe that?" he sneered. "That you just happened to be pregnant when you arrived in my city?"

I nodded, writing furiously to try and convince him. "Yes, it's the truth. I swear on my life."

The alpha's eyes narrowed. "I don't know what kind of game you're playing, but I'm not buying it. You're going to tell me the truth, one way or another."

He paced back and forth across the room, his anger and frustration increases. I could feel my heart racing as I wondered what he would do next.

Suddenly, he stopped pacing and turned to face me. "I want to see a doctor's report," he demanded. "I want proof that you were pregnant before you came here."

I hesitated, unsure of what to do. But then I remembered the nurse who had been taking care of me. She had access to my medical records, and she might be willing to help me.

I wrote a note to the alpha, explaining that I would need to contact the nurse to get the report. The alpha's face twisted in concern, but he nodded curtly.

"Fine," he said. "But if I find out you're lying to me, there will be consequences."

I nodded, feeling relief as I let go of deep breath. I knew that the nurse would be able to provide the proof I needed to convince the alpha that I was telling the truth.

The alpha picked up his phone and dialed a number. "Bring the nurse here," he barked into the phone. "I need her to confirm some information."

I watched as the alpha paced back and forth across the room, his anger and frustration still simmering just below the surface.

After a few minutes, the nurse arrived, looking nervous and anxious. "Alpha, what's going on?" she asked, her eyes scaring to me and then back to the alpha.

"I need you to confirm that this woman was pregnant before she met came to this city ," the alpha growled. "I need proof that she's telling the truth."

The nurse nodded, her face calm and professional. "Yes, Alpha. I can confirm that. I've been taking care of her since she fainted, and her medical records show that she was indeed pregnant before she came here."

The alpha's face twisted in anger, but he said nothing. Instead, he turned to me, his eyes blazing with intensity.

"Fine," he said. "I believe you. But that doesn't change the fact that you're carrying a child, and I'm going to make sure that I'm involved in that child's life, no matter what."

I shook my head, trying to process the alpha's words. "You can't just claim the child as your own," I wrote on my notepad. "I'm the mother, and I have rights too."

The alpha sneered, his eyes flashing with anger. "Rights?" he repeated. "You think you have rights? You're a mute, pregnant woman in a strange city. You don't have any rights. I'm the alpha, and I'll do what's best for this child."

I felt a surge of fear and determination. I knew I had to protect myself and my child from the alpha's manipulation.

The nurse stepped forward, her voice calm and reliable. "Alpha, I think you're forgetting that this woman is a person with her own freedom and rights. She deserves to be treated with respect and dignity."

The alpha's face turned red with rage, but he seemed to be restraining himself. "Fine," he spat. "I'll respect her rights. But I'm still going to be involved in this child's life. And I'll do whatever it takes to make sure that happens."

It was as if an heavy rock hit my head hearing those word, as I realized the alpha's true intentions. He was determined to control me and my child, no matter what it took.
