I wasn’t sure how long I was unconscious for, but when I started to wake up I could tell that it was still daylight. MILES POV I had successfully merged William’s pack with Connor’s pack and they were making themselves useful at the castle now. They weren’t causing any static and the ones that were still loyal to William were either killed or locked in the dungeon of the castle. And the dungeon in the castle is no laughing matter. It was like nothing I had ever seen before. It was massive and there was no way anyone was ever going to be getting out of that place on their own. But that didn’t matter. I had let things go for a couple more weeks and I was running the pack as I knew Connor would. We were back to rescuing people but the biggest issue at the moment was trying to find places to put them all. The village was making great progress and a lot of families had already moved into the apartments that had been built. But we were still getting reports of abuse that couldn’t be ignored and I was constantly sending more and more teams out to save the abused. I decided that it was time again to go and see Connor. AURORA’S POV I could still hear the screaming coming from the giants and see the flames and smoke pouring out from above the trees as I walked away with the Pegasus’. I tried as hard as possible not to look back and see what I had done, but it was hard with their screams getting louder and them softer. I suddenly woke up in a cold sweat and jolted up. Thaddeus lunged for me at the same time, I dodged out of the way and I raised my hands at the same time to protect myself. When I opened my eyes, I saw black smoke surrounding me and I wasn’t standing next to Thaddeus anymore. I was standing on the hill behind the werebears. They were now charging at Thaddeus and his soldiers and someone grabbed me from behind. “Who the hell are you?” I asked. “My name is Uther. I’m going to get you somewhere safe.” He said. “Sure. As the creatures were scaling the walls of the castle, the soldiers were trying to shoot them down with their bow and arrows and they were successfully getting a lot of them, but there were more and more of them jumping across the fire lit mote. The King grabbed my hand and he pulled me back towards the door and inside the castle. We ran into a room that was full of weapons and I smelt something really familiar. I started pulling the lids off of the barrels while the King was looking at me strangely until I found the powder that I was looking for. “That’s what we use for the cannons.” He said. “It’s gunpowder. So he ordered some men to the storage room and they took several barrel’s to the roof and I grabbed as many cloth’s as I could find.
