CHAPTER 80

AURORA’S POV

I could still hear the screaming coming from the giants and see the flames and smoke pouring out from above the trees as I walked away with the Pegasus’. I tried as hard as possible not to look back and see what I had done, but it was hard with their screams getting louder and them softer.

I suddenly woke up in a cold sweat and jolted up.

I looked around to see Thaddeus and his soldiers were still asleep in the field that we had found to camp in for the night.

I could see the sun coming up just over the hills in the distance so I stood up and stretched before I started walking around a little.

“Another nightmare?” Someone asked behind me. So I turned around and Maximus was laying on the ground looking at me.

“How can you tell?” I asked.

“I’m a light sleeper. And I know nightmares when I see them.” He said.

“It’s beautiful here.” I said, looking out towards the hills.

“Yeah. It’s beautiful countryside. It’s too bad there’s too many cretins roaming around.” H
