CHAPTER 61

Looking around the burning room I am confused and scared and worried about how I even got here to begin with. I burnt my hand and it was still throbbing, but it didn’t seem to be healing or even progressing like it should be. Not for a wolf.

I tried to call Elsa forward, but I got nothing. It was radio silent inside my head. Like she wasn’t there at all.

I tried to move forward towards the fire again, trying to find another way out. When I saw a break in the fire, I thought I would take my chance. But it closed up again, before I had a chance to run through it and my shirt caught on fire.

I quickly used my hands to tap out my burning clothes, but I looked down at the seared clothing and the more burns that I had on my hands.

Suddenly a hidden door opened up on the other side of the room and Connor came running in.

“Aurora.” He yelled.

“Connor.” I yelled back.
