So Connor explained the whole situation with the barriers which will stop anyone from seeing them if they don’t want them to. It will keep dad and the black witch away from them. And I went to find Scarlett. I told her about the situation and at first she was pissed. “I can’t believe that bitch is still going on about that portal. She’s been wanting to open that thing for 20 years.” Scarlett said. “Well, she’s found a way to do it. And now we need to protect as many wolves as possible. Can you go with them and put up barriers around their packs?” I asked. “What about your training?” She asked. “I’ll train on my own from what I learnt today. And we’ll pick up when you get back. It’s either that or these Alpha’s are going to bring their entire packs here, who won’t fit in the castle because there will be thousands upon thousands of wolves and that will give our location away because they will be all through these woods.” I said. “Alright. I’ll go back to their packs with the
We made sure that our warriors were ready in case we had to move at any moment and we called in all of our allies and told them what was going on. In case we needed back up. I was sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for Scarlett to get back to me so I went to the back balcony that looked straight out onto the ocean. I was leaning against the brick fencing of sorts that was around the garden at the back of the castle while I was looking at the water and I felt someone walk up behind me. “Lurking around isn’t earning you any brownie points.” I said. “I know. I’m not trying to earn any brownie points.” Peyton said. “Then what are you doing?” I asked. “Just watching. Watching you and the person that you’ve become.” She said. “Well, it’s definitely not thanks to you.” I said. “I know. It was Connor. I’ve seen the way that he is with you. He’s very protective but you don’t need protecting. So, I’m guessing that’s just left over from when he found you.” She guessed. “Proba
We got set up in Portland and I saw that the pack was located about an hour out of the city. I didn’t even know that my father owned property around this part of the country. But that didn’t really surprise me. I didn’t know anything about that man. And I didn’t even know anything about myself until I left his pack. Connor sent scouts to check out the pack before we attempted anything and we just had to wait at the hotel where we were staying until they checked in with us. “Are you alright?” Connor asked, coming back into the suite. “Yeah. I’m good. How’s the rest of the pack? Are they ready?” I asked. “Yeah. But they’re always ready.” He said. “I guess you trained them that way.” I said. Connor walked over and sat on the bed next to me and grabbed a hold of my hand while I was staring out the window. “Are you ready for this? You haven’t seen your father since. And you didn’t practice much with Scarlett.” “Honestly, I don’t think I need it. I just needed to know that
I looked between the two men in front of me and I definitely saw the resemblance between them. Unfortunately, Connor did look like his father. And his father was looking at me in a very strange way as well. “It’s nice to finally meet the famous Aurora. Your mother used to talk about you all the time.” Lorenzo said. “Nico Griffin.” I said. “That’s the name that your mother knew me by. I couldn’t risk telling her my real name.” He said. “You were having an affair with her.” I said. “I was. But that was long after my mate died and you were very young.” Lorenzo said. “I know. There was a question there for a while, people thinking that you were my father.” I said. “That would have meant that you were mated to your brother.” Lorenzo said. “Yeah. It kind of put a cramp in our plans for a little while.” I said. “We got it straightened out. But you still haven’t told me what the fuck you are doing here.” Connor said. “I told you that we needed to talk. And now that Aurora
Connor and I had to assemble our warriors as fast as possible. We needed to get to dad’s pack, but we had a lot of problems that we were facing. We didn’t know how many people he had in his pack now. We didn’t know how many patrols he had on, we didn’t know the layout of his new pack territory…we were going in there completely blind. We had everyone leave the hotel at different times, and casually, so the humans didn’t suspect anything. Connor and I were the last ones to leave and we all drove halfway to the pack and then pulled over in a parking lot near the forestry. We would have to go the rest of the way on foot and in small groups, so they didn’t hear us coming. When we got out of the cars we all split up into groups and Connor refused to let me go in a group without him. He promised that he would have my back in case I froze up in front of dad and I guess he meant it. And Scarlett was coming with us. She was the only one that we knew that might be able to stop the ritual
Just as we were about to charge into the field we saw some other emerge from the darkness and start placing objects around inside the circle. That’s when I noticed that they were creating different barriers. Several different circles within the large circle. They bought in one teenage werewolf girl who was screaming and crying and they threw her in one of the circles and the black witch sealed it so she couldn’t get out. They then brought in a vampire and threw her in one of the other circles and sealed it. “Alright. Now the main event. The blood that will open the portal. The blood of royalty.” Dad announced to everyone that was there. And his followers all started cheering. But I started looking around and there was no one around me. No one was sneaking up on me, trying to get me. And I felt Connor tighten his grip on my hand. But then another warrior walked out of the shadows with a woman that was fighting him as he threw her in the circle. “Peyton.” I gasped. “How did
CONNOR POV I felt the exact moment that Aurora decided to let go. I felt every emotion, every feeling, every thought. It tore through me like a tidal wave. I got distracted from my fight with William as I looked up and saw my world end as Aurora fell through the portal. William managed to tackle me to the ground and jump on top of me while I wasn’t looking and he was trying to go for the throat. I was using all of my strength right now to hold him back. That was until Miles came running up and jumped on his back and I was able to get out from underneath him. “Get away Miles.” I ordered. So Miles jumped off of William and backed away. I charged at William and I knocked him to the ground. But he got up quickly. I saw Miles standing to the side. He was ready to help if I got in trouble again. He wasn’t going to let this bastard get the best of me. William charged at me again but this time something stopping him and I looked over to the side and Scarlett was holding him bac
AURORA’S POV As I started to regain consciousness I slowly sat up and tried to look around my surroundings to see that I was in a completely unfamiliar place. The ground underneath me was hard. It was rock. Jagged and uneven rocks. The sky above me was gray for as far as I could see. There was no sign of sunshine or of life. I slowly stood up and I started looking around, only to see a large volcano in the not so far distance. I looked back down at the ground that I was standing on and I realized that I wasn’t actually on a rock. It was cold lava, and it looked like the volcano was getting ready to spill it’s guts again. I started running in the other direction, away from the volcano. I managed to get to a hill and I climbed to the top of it, only to see desert and nothing else in front of me. There were no trees, no rivers, no nothing. Just desert. I stood on top of that small hill that I had climbed and I looked in all directions, even around behind the volcano and I co
We got to the hospital in record time as soon as I went into labor and I could tell that Connor was panicking. And to tell you the truth, it was driving me crazy. I was taken straight to the birthing suite that was done up, just for me. A private room with all the perfect amenities that I didn’t ask them to do but no one would take no for an answer. And Connor wanted the best for me and his baby. As soon as we got there the doctor came to examine me and he said that this baby was in a hurry. It wasn’t going to be a very long labor at all. By the time I had to start pushing Connor was really getting under my skin. “Alright, baby. You can do this.” Connor said. “No shit. I don’t really have a fucking choice now, do I?” I yelled. “It’s alright. I know that it’s just the pain talking.” He said. “No. It isn’t. You’re pissing me off. Shut the fuck up and stop touching me. That’s what put me here in the first place.” I yelled. So he stopped touching me, but he stayed right beside
AURORA POV As soon as I came through that portal, I knew it worked and that I was home again. I came through at the same place as when I went to the other realm. And I knew my way back to the castle just fine. I started running back to the castle, but I was slower these days with the stomach weighing me down. But as soon as I started getting that really funny feeling I started pushing myself to go faster and harder. Connor was in trouble and I needed to get to him now. As soon as I got to the castle, I saw wolves running off into the forest, but Connor was at the castle. I followed my feeling and his strongest scent around to the patio, only to see him standing on it and ready to jump off of it and kill himself. I practically flew through the air to tackle him backwards onto the patio, and I hurt myself as I landed as well. It wasn’t a soft landing. I stayed there for a moment when I heard Connor get up and he gasped as soon as he saw me. I managed to get up and look
Just as I was regaining my composure from being slammed onto the stone ground of the patio I growled as I got to my feet quickly, ready to abuse and scream at whoever stopped me from getting the only release from this prison that I had been living in. But when I turned to look, I saw the blonde hair covering the face of the person that was facing away from me, laying on her side on the ground. “Aurora.” I said, almost like I didn’t believe it. She turned her face to look at me, her bright blue eyes shining in the moonlight, looking straight at me. I dove on the ground next to her and wrapped her in my arms. I felt all over her back and her hair and the side of her face, just to make sure that she was real. “Is it really you?” I asked. “Of course it’s me.” She said. She slowly started getting up, but I noticed that she was having trouble. And that’s when I noticed her swollen stomach. “Oh my god.” I said. “How long have I been gone?” She asked. “You don’t know?” I ask
CONNOR POV I was laying in bed next to an empty vodka bottle when someone started banging on my bedroom door. I laid there ignoring it until the door banged open and I saw Miles standing there with his new mate Emma. “Get out.” I said, rolling over. “Connor. You need to get your ass out of this bed.” Miles demanded. But I laid there, not saying anything to him. I didn’t have anything to say to him. “Alpha. You need to get up. This pack is depending on you. They need their leader.” “Their Queen is dead.” I said. “You don’t know that.” Miles yelled. “She’s been gone for two and a half months. She would have come back to me by now. She’s dead.” I said. “Maybe she just can’t find a way back. We’ve been researching how to open a portal and we’ve come up completely empty. Maybe she can’t figure it out either.” Emma said. “I didn’t ask for your opinion.” I said. “Alpha. The people need you.” Miles said. But I grabbed my blanket and I pulled it up over my head. I heard th
It took us two days to get back to Arthur’s castle, and I was surprised to see that the damage from the attack was already fixed. His men worked pretty quickly around here. Even though it had only been two days, my stomach had swollen a lot more than it was when I killed Mila. I was actually a little curious to know how far along I was now. Because I had no idea and there was no way of telling until I got home. As soon as we got to the castle we were greeted with a hero’s welcome. It had already spread across the land that the black witch was dead. And the whole realm was rejoicing and celebrating the news. “You’re a local hero around here. Are you sure you want to leave?” Arthur asked. “As much as I think this place is beautiful, it’s not home.” I said. “I know. Come on, let’s go and see what they’ve found out.” He said. So we went inside and there were people scattered everywhere over two rooms of the castle. “Your majesty.” A woman said, bowing her head for Arthur.
As the dragon and I were battling it out, it started to realize that we weren’t going to be easy prey. When it had been distracted long enough, Arthur and his men snuck around the side and used their swords to slice the dragon’s legs. It was enough to get it’s attention and it fell back slightly, drawing it fire back from me and giving me the advantage. I released my fire at the dragon again, hitting it directly in the middle of the chest and causing it to catch on fire. It stumbled around and back into the middle of the mountain until it fell to the ground and didn’t get back up. I walked to the edge of the cliff that the dragon had fallen over and I saw Mila and another blonde woman, dressed in black also, staring up at me. Not believing what they just saw. “Did you really think I was going to let you get away this time?” I asked. “What have you done?” The woman screeched, running to her fallen dragon. “I stopped that beast from killing me. I’m sure that anyone would
I was pushed out of the way at the last second by someone who was then thrown down the hall by the electric blast. I heard Arthur start yelling and I turned around to see Uther on the ground and Arthur’s men were surrounding him. Mila started approaching us again, striking at us however she could, but I noticed that her anger was causing her to be careless and reckless. She wasn’t hitting anyone. She was just aiming towards them and hitting the building around them. So I got up and instead of using any magic against her right now, I charged at her and tackled her to the ground. I got up and kicked her in the face and stopped on her chest, causing her to have trouble breathing for a moment. I stood back and she rolled to the side and she saw the blood coming from her face, wiping it away with her hand. She looked even angrier after that, but before she had a chance to react, I kicked her in the stomach and punched her in the throat. She fell back against the wall and I gr
Knowing that my pregnancy was progressing like it would be in my world, I was unsure of just how long it would take for me to give birth. I could only have a week or two for all I know. Arthur looked really worried about it as well. I don’t think he was all that keen about having to deliver a baby. We saw the witch disappear with his soldiers and there was no way to warn the men at his castle, in case the witch was planning on attacking them. We were both worried for so many reasons and they weren’t small worries either. “Listen. I might be able to get us out of here but it’s not going to be pleasant. I just need to try and control the magic that she’s placed on the bars.” I explained. “How are you going to do that? Won’t that be dangerous and harmful?” Arthur asked.“I can handle it.” I said.“What about the baby? Are you willing to take that risk?” He asked.“What else are we meant to do? Just sit here and wait until she’s decided what shes going to do with us? I can guarantee
Arthur and I noticed that we were locked in that room alone, his other men had been captured by her soldiers somewhere along the route to the room, but we were too interested in what was happening right in front of us. Medea’s dead body and all. “I hope you don’t think this cage will hold me for long.” I said. “No. Just long enough to wipe out his army.” She said, looking at Arthur. We then heard a lot of shouting outside, so we ran to the window that also had bars on it and the soldiers outside were being attacked by Sphinx’s and Pegusas’ soldiers. They weren’t outnumbered, but they were taken by surprise and they were being attacked from all sides. “My men will tear through that pathetic army that you have down there.” Arthur said. “Maybe. But not for a while. And not without losing a lot of your men as well.” The witch smirked, before disappearing in another cloud of smoke. “Can you get out of this cage?” Arthur asked. “Yeah. But just give me a minute.” I said. “What d
