CHAPTER 69

We got set up in Portland and I saw that the pack was located about an hour out of the city. I didn’t even know that my father owned property around this part of the country. But that didn’t really surprise me.

I didn’t know anything about that man. And I didn’t even know anything about myself until I left his pack.

Connor sent scouts to check out the pack before we attempted anything and we just had to wait at the hotel where we were staying until they checked in with us.

“Are you alright?” Connor asked, coming back into the suite.

“Yeah. I’m good. How’s the rest of the pack? Are they ready?” I asked.

“Yeah. But they’re always ready.” He said.

“I guess you trained them that way.” I said.

Connor walked over and sat on the bed next to me and grabbed a hold of my hand while I was staring out the window.

“Are you ready for this? You haven’t seen your father since. And you didn’t practice much with Scarlett.”
