CHAPTER 62

CONNOR POV

It didn’t take Aurora or myself long to fall asleep that night. We’d spent most of the day traveling so we were pretty tired.

I shook her several times and called her name, but I got no response. She wasn’t responding to me at all.

I tried to sit her up, but she was really limp in my arms.

I ran to the door and flew it open with so much force that it almost came off the hinges and I started screaming for Miles.

He came running into our room, with a few people following, but they stayed outside the door.

Miles tried to help me wake her up.
