AURORA’S POV I sat there staring at the red witch while Connor was still right in front of me. He was looking between her and me. He knew that there was something going on here. Connor and I spent some time in our room talking. I was trying to wrap my head around what had happened to me and Connor was trying to understand everything that happened to me in the burning room. It made sense with all the screaming that I was doing but he said that it didn’t even seem real. So when we finally went downstairs to find everyone else, they were all in the sitting room on the bottom floor of the castle. We made sure that our warriors were ready in case we had to move at any moment and we called in all of our allies and told them what was going on. In case we needed back up. We got set up in Portland and I saw that the pack was located about an hour out of the city. I didn’t even know that my father owned property around this part of the country. But that didn’t really surprise me. I didn’t know anything about that man. And I didn’t even know anything about myself until I left his pack. Connor sent scouts to check out the pack before we attempted anything and we just had to wait at the hotel where we were staying until they checked in with us. “Are you alright?” Connor asked, coming back into the suite. “Yeah. I looked between the two men in front of me and I definitely saw the resemblance between them. Unfortunately, Connor did look like his father. Connor and I had to assemble our warriors as fast as possible. We needed to get to dad’s pack, but we had a lot of problems that we were facing. We didn’t know how many people he had in his pack now. We didn’t know how many patrols he had on, we didn’t know the layout of his new pack territory…we were going in there completely blind. We had everyone leave the hotel at different times, and casually, so the humans didn’t suspect anything. Connor and I were the last ones to leave and we all drove halfway to the pack and then pulled over in a parking lot near the forestry. We would have to go the rest of the way on foot and in small groups, so they didn’t hear us coming. When we got out of the cars we all split up into groups and Connor refused to let me go in a group without him. He promised that he would have my back in case I froze up in front of dad and I guess he meant it. And Scarlett was coming with us. Just as we were about to charge into the field we saw some other emerge from the darkness and start placing objects around inside the circle. That’s when I noticed that they were creating different barriers. Several different circles within the large circle. They bought in one teenage werewolf girl who was screaming and crying and they threw her in one of the circles and the black witch sealed it so she couldn’t get out. They then brought in a vampire and threw her in one of the other circles and sealed it. “Alright. Now the main event. The blood that will open the portal. The blood of royalty.” Dad announced to everyone that was there. And his followers all started cheering. But I started looking around and there was no one around me.
