Chapter 7 She Seduced Him

Arvin's car hadn't approached yet when Debby, burdened with bags, waved at him.

After getting into the car, Debby talked incessantly, while I sat in the backseat, absentmindedly gazing at the passing scenery.

At some point, the car fell silent.

After a while, Debby cautiously asked, "Arvin, are you upset?"

Arvin liked to play soothing music while driving, so even though I couldn't hear their conversation, I knew that Debby's voice dominated the journey.

This created a somewhat subdued atmosphere in the car.

Arvin kept his eyes fixed on the road ahead, seemingly focused on driving.

Debby had to speak up again. Finally, Arvin regained his senses and replied casually, "No, nothing."

I inwardly sneered. What a pretense.

Previously, Arvin would eagerly respond whenever Debby said something to him, but now, he had learned to pretend to be absent-minded when being with her.

Debby's eyes flickered as she casually mentioned, "I think I saw Letitia today at the mall."
