Timing Bomb

Elora's POV

“I am sorry, Luna Elora, but I don't think I can help you with that!” She collapsed on her butt as she crawled backward, her back placed on the cold wall as she tried to stay away from me.

“I don't understand, why won't you speak to me? I could help you, and you know that, right? I am here for you!” I pressed as I went closer to her.

I swiftly crouched down on my left knee so I could get right into her head, right into her heart. She was innocent, and I knew it. She wouldn't dream of hurting anyone.

“I … I just…” Just as she was going to speak, I reached for her hand, holding it right in mine, and squeezed it gently, a smile forming on my lips as I stared at her without looking away.

“I'm begging you right now, on my knees… Please tell me what happened. It's clear that someone wants me dead, and if … if I don't find them this time, I might get killed without knowing who did it.” I pleaded, my hand reaching for her hair as I caressed it gently.
