“No! She is dead…” Scarlet shook her head as she just couldn't accept what was right before her.

“Well, she isn't, Scarlet… sorry to disappoint you!” I emitted bluntly, clearly making a mockery of her right before everyone.

“If she isn't dead as you say, then where is she?” Just as Scarlet questioned, the door to the hall creaked open, followed by intense footsteps and just then, she surfaced.

“I am right here, Scarlet!” She sneered, staring at Scarlet. Everyone began to mumble amongst themselves again. This time, it was intense.

The air was thick with tension, and Scarlet stood in the centre, her face a frozen mask of shock. Her eyes bulged, wide with disbelief, as if she had just seen a ghost.

"No! You are dead!" she screamed, her voice cracking under the weight of her terror.

It was clear she couldn't understand the reality of the maid standing before her, the very maid she believed she had killed.
