Elora's POV

Finally, she was gone; finally, there wasn't going to be anyone or anything known as Scarlet in the backwood mansion anymore. It was a thing worth celebrating, and I was going to wait for Alpha Killian's return to do that.

Scarlet had thought that she could take me down, that she could humiliate me right before everyone, but little did she know that I had it all planned out, that I could see right through her deceit.

“What you just faced is what is due to you, Scarlet… trust me!” I stood up from the couch and walked over to the bed in the room, falling on it effortlessly.

A smile tugged at the side of my lips at this moment, and I wished and hoped it wouldn't stop. As I stared at the ceiling in the room, I couldn't help but recall one moment: the moment where Scarlet found out that the maid she had sent them to kill was still alive.
