Nothing But A Slave!

Elora's POV.

After what felt like an eternity of moving, the truck carrying all the slaves came to an abrupt halt, the screeching sound of the vehicle indicating it was time for everyone to leave.

Lifting my head from where I had placed it, I looked around. Everyone had gotten to their feet and was lined up accordingly, just as they had sat.

I followed suit, not wanting to get punished by the cruel men who held me captive.

I managed to stand up, facing the other slaves who were seated around me. The truck’s interior was dimly lit, making it hard to see clearly, but I was acutely aware of the tense atmosphere.

“Open it up!” I heard the command from the truck’s leader. Without any delay, the doors were swung open, letting in a harsh burst of daylight that momentarily blinded me.

As I squinted into the light, the first thing I noticed was a disturbing scene. We were greeted by a row of sellers, each sitting behind a table, their faces obscured by masks.
