Alan dropped Freya and I off at school the next morning and we waved at him as soon as alighted from the car. He didn’t leave almost immediately, and I noticed him staring at something at the gate, the look on his face changing almost immediately. When I turned to the direction of his stare, I saw Zachary standing there, his hands dipped into his pocket, staring at us too. Freya noticed his presence too and waved but he didn’t reciprocate, he kept on looking at Alan as if planning one thousand ways to kill him. I shook my head at the both of them, wondering what would happen when they found out they weren’t only enemies, but would also have to share me as their mate. Because I for one, wasn’t ready to choose between both of them.

“Run along, Alan.” Freya said, turning to look at her brother who was standing beside the car, as if he had no intention of ever leaving. “Run along and don’t make this look weird.”
