Melissa’s Point Of View

I sat with my father and the leader of his warrior organization as they strategized and planned on how to guard the pack during the full moon which would be taking place tomorrow. The full moon is the night everyone of shifting age changes into their wolf forms and take a run in the woods. It was the only night in every month where pack members are given the opportunity to do whatever they wished without any fear of being punished. For years, I have felt terribly lonely whenever my father and the other servants of shifting age leave for the shifting square without me.

But now, I would not only be going with them tomorrow, I would also get the chance to see other people shift into their wolf forms and that made me very happy. Chloe and I had planned to go for a run further into the woods and although it was considered a dangerous thing to do, I was really looking forward to doing it.
