Melissa’s Point Of View

I kept staring at Freya’s back in anger as she walked before me to the school gate. She could have given me just one minute to see what the professor would do. I had needed just one minute to see what that intense gaze between him and I would lead to. By now, Professor Zach and I could have been kissing each other in the hall, or we could have at least had a conversation about our mating bond. If only Freya had given me just one more minute.

Shaking my head, I allowed my mind to focus on the present, realizing that if she had also given us that one minute, she might have caught us in an inappropriate situation that I might not have known how to handle.
