The next day, I made up my mind to sneak out of the mansion. It wasn’t easy; every corner seemed to harbor eyes, and the security was tight, but I’ve always been good at slipping through the cracks.

I knew they would try to stop me if they noticed, but I managed to fool most of them, blending into the shadows until I was finally free. They were watching me so eagerly, it adds up to my worries.

Waiting around for them had become unbearable, something I couldn’t tolerate any longer. They had been gone for three days without a word, and I was done sitting idly by, helpless and clueless.

I needed to know what was going on, and I couldn’t rely on anyone else to find out. They had left me in the dark for too long, and I was determined to shed some light on whatever was happening.
