Just when I thought I could drive the blade into his neck, something sharp whizzed past me. A syringe hurled with precision.

My senses kicked in just in time, and I instinctively moved back, narrowly avoiding it. The adrenaline coursed through me as I turned to the side, my gaze locking onto the culprit.
