Elena’s POV

I hesitated, unsure of what to expect, but Kalyan's smile hinted at mischief rather than malice. "Elena, my dear, I just wanted to say that you're absolutely stunning," she said, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "I can see why Alex is so smitten with you."

I blushed, feeling a warmth spread through my cheeks. "Thank you, Kalyan. That's very kind of you to say."

Kalyan's gaze shifted to Alex, a playful glint in her eye. "And Alex, my dear boy, you've done an excellent job of finding someone as beautiful as Elena. I must say, you two make a gorgeous couple."

Alex chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Thanks, Kalyan. I think I did pretty well for myself too."
